Asking Parcel Force to hold PS4 at depot

I've got the numbers of the local couriers in my mobile.

Not the 0845/0870/0800 number.. the local number. I like being able to call them directly for this type of reason, and I've found that most of the couriers I've spoken to are accommodating.

TNT driver actually brought a parcel back to the house to deliver it, after I'd missed the initial attempted delivery. DPD are usually great for collection (if you do miss them) often getting the item ready so it takes about 30 seconds, and UPS are excellent at returns.

Google the courier name, followed by an area code and the name of the area where they're based. e.g. UPS, 01792, Skewen (Swansea) :cool:
 
Thanks for the advice EVH. I tried googling 'ParcelForce 01473 Ipswich' but couldn't find the number anywhere (apart from the 0844 one).

Anyone who can find the local number for

EDIT: After some research, it appears that PF may have stopped using local numbers entirely :(

Can't as I'm at work right now, but I'd imagine they would just give me the 0844 209 6152 number.

Man I wish I had ordered with ShopTo. The thought of the extra clubcard points got the better of me!
 
Best I could find was the tracking number 020 1134 0200.

Give them a ring when you're at home.
 
Thanks, I'll try when I get home. Just hope Tesco/ParcelForce send out the tracking numbers before the depot closes at 7PM. Otherwise will have to wait til the morning and hope I can talk to them in time!
 
Just thought I'd give an update. After ringing Parcelforce yesterday evening, the kind lady was not sure if they could hold a parcel back, so she said she would call me back with more info.

8pm went by (when the depot closes) and no phone call, so I assumed there was nothing they could do.

Then this morning at about 8:30am when I was preparing to go and sit by the entrance to my building (to wait for the big red van), I get a phone call saying my package has been held at the depot :D

So all good, and realistically Parcelforce were better than DPD/others as I was able to collect and play my console before 9am, instead of waiting for a scheduled delivery time :)
