Asking someone where they are from

So she was intentinally acting stupid to elicit a reaction then. Or her friends normally walks around with a recording device.

How was she being stupid if the transcript is true?

She initially thought the woman was asking which company/charity she was from/where they were based (which is a perfectly normal assumption at an event like this). Then after the Africa question she realised she meant where was SHE from, and she said the UK. She was then asked her nationality, to which she replied she was British.

How is that "acting stupid"?

In fact (in the context of this event), it is far more normal to assume you were being asked which charity you come from, rather than having someone going up to you and immediately asking you which country you come from.

It was stupid nonsense about her being prejudiced because she runs a charity for black people.
If you bothered you look at the post properly it was a black person complaining. Race wasn't mentioned.

Bowdon have a look at your signature and work out which of those three groups you are.
I'm discussing ideas. You can't get over the race issue.

It's derailed your common sense.

What? My post had nothing to do with yours. It was Dowie I was quoting.

Love these threads. They really get the masks off :)

It is amusing the lengths racists go to defend / explain away racism by other racists. The same story every time, paint the victim as the bad actor and the bad actor as the victim.

We have one guy looking up the definition of racism to defend against mild racism

LOL anyone who disagrees is automatically a racist? This is why it's so hard to have a serious discussion on here about taboo subjects as there is such a lack of objectivity and huge amount of reactionary opinions.

Which is surely the right thing to do? How else can we objectively assess it? Or would you prefer to simply go on feel, which is itself a form of prejudice.

You have to remember the NPC sees racism everywhere, anything remotely critical of PoC's is rooted in racism, and anyone not in full agreement with the NPC on the subject is automatically racist.

Absolutely. Weirdly the majority of it (not all) is from the same people who constantly declare someone is an -ist at every opportunity.

It might be your human nature but it is not the default human nature.
I was thinking about this Tony.

Hypothetical situation - 10 babies brought up in isolation by robots. 2 black, 8 white. Would they grow up in harmony or would a natural group structure emerge which sees the 8 white people eventually gain superiority over the 2 black people, with no outside influence whatsoever.

I think there is a reasonable chance that natural group might emerge based on skin colour.

What if it was a 5 black, 5 white, so equal numbers. Would we see natural groups form then?

And this type of **** is the opposite side of that coin

Give it a rest.
