Asrock 939 Dual Sata2 with 7200.10 320GB

Hey all,

Just installed a new 7200.10 320GB and was looking in the Bios settings and it only allows me to use IDE Mode, if i change to SATA the OS won't boot and will just restart, is this ok?

My HD Tach Benchmarks are 172.7MB/s Burst speed
13.4ms random access
65.6MBps Average Read

Do these all look ok? Ive removed the jumper in the back of the hard drive aswell so it runs at full speed.

Just installed new SATA II drivers and the Burst speed is now at 231.8mbps

IDE mode will be fine, the speeds show that. I can't tell from the Asrock manual what the SATA option is for, I can only assume that it's some form of AHCI mode.
