AsRock Extreme4 Gen3 - constant rebooting

Well it's definitely running stable now. Does this mean when I get a video card I should be able to swap it back over to automatic?

Yes thats what im doing now running auto overclock of 4.6 but i can only do that because im using discrete video card and also you will see better performance when your not using your igpu.
when i tried a 4.6 auto overclock using the igpu it just wasnt stable but now im using discrete card 4.6 overclock is stable.

Ok so it's started again. I'm pretty angry about this as I thought I'd fixed it. I still have a fixed vcore of 1.2 and it's occuring still. I'm going to put a GTX260 in until I put the proper card in, I can't live with this problem.

Don't think I will buy AsRock again, thought I was getting good value for money but this is a bit of a joke tbh.

Well its not the top of this list company but we still dont exspect these problems when your paying £170 for a motherboard.

I understand it's a new board and stuff but it's really frustrating. I thought I would give one of the none-'A-list' brands a chance but now I feel I should have went with Asus or something.

Hopefully I can resolve this with a graphics card but it's a shame it's happening for people who choose not to have a dedicated card and want onboard graphics.

With this being your first build, have you double checked the power cables are seated right the way in the socket's, check especially the 8 pin cpu connector in top left as they can be awkward to fit correctly.

I doubt this could fix it as it's a Windows driver. If my motherboard sometimes struggles to boot to even the UEFI sometimes I don't see how it could help? I will see if I can get a successful boot and install it though, as you may be right.

I've checked my power cables, but will check again, as well as all the other connectors.

Just want to check what your memory is set to have you got it on profile 1 ? Im getting more and more emails every day from people with the same problem.

@Davefran - take out your graphics card and then run your system as the OP with the on boards GPU of the CPU then you will have a comparable system and maybe similar issues, if you are unlucky.
With a graphics card fitted those issues might not be apparent.
I have read in a number of forums of people having issues when building a system without a graphics card in a similar position as the OP. IIRC they were using different motherboards (or maybe the same) but with the similar issue, although I only glanced through some of the posts as they are not relevant to my setup.

Ok well I received my 560TI today, installed it, removed CMOS battery, rewired the entire machine, and still getting reboots. I get error 67 I think it is on the Dr Debug LED screen which is to do with the CPU. Close to RMA'ing it now :(

I have tried setting fixed vcore at 1.2, setting the LLC to Level 1. Still no luck, rebooting within 15 seconds of hitting the desktop most of the time now.

I have the harddrives in IDE mode, simply because I forgot to swap before installation and cba to swap and reinstall. This couldn't be anything to do with it could it?

Chippy, I'll have to check which profile I am using, but it will most likely be default.

Right so even with my new 560TI it's not working, nor with the 1.10 BIOS. I've done everything; offset the Vcore, fix vcore, rewired everything, switched RAM to A2/B2 slots, removed CMOS battery, tried the preset overclocks.

I love this board, and want it to work. :(

Your using a discrete video card Dave so you wont be affected.

I ran it for a couple days before I put the Gpu in, it was fine. But I suppose a couple of days wouldn't be long enough to show up any problems.
It's similar to the problems people are having with OCZ SSD drives, I've got 2, a vertex 2E and now an Agility 3, not had any problems with either of them.

That looks like a problem with the CPU then, not the board.

Makes me wonder if you have more than one problem as i dont get the error 67.
