Bit late now Intel, we'll just use the BIOS versions that support it.
yea. better save all the old bioses
They will have the Skylake calculation bugs. Bugged CPU or overclocking...
what happens to ppl with the OcUK bundles, would OcUK have to take returns on them if the clocks was removed by bios update
If Intel wanted people overclocking all of the Skylake processors then they would have unlocked them all, it's understandable that motherboard manufacturers will have got a telling off as the hack will be costing Intel money.

its nice to see all the K chaps went back up in price to the pre none k clocking stage instantly.
its not about what intel want... the motherboard makes should be open to do what they want with there own products. intel made the chip the way it is.
Intel make a killing either way.
Motherboard sales are in the toilet. The reason for that is Intel's strategy of charging a fortune for chips and offering nothing over 5 years.
They buy the most important parts of their 'own products' (chipsets) from Intel and presumably under license, so they simply can't go around negatively impacting Intel's sales.
Blame AMD for not offering any competition, they could have released Steamroller/Excavator based processors on AM3+ (or even developed a better architecture based on K10 by now) but didn't, so Intel effectively have a monopoly.
