ASROCK X570 TAICHI - THE RYZEN 3000 MOTHERBOARD GIBBO & 8 PACK RECOMMENDS

There is two places SOC voltage can be inputted on this board, in the main OC page but also in the Vpltage/LLC page. Are you meant to change it in both?

What LLCs are people running for high Fclock?

LLC 1 for me but I have always used max LLC on every motherboard and never had a failure of hardware.
Vcore is offset -50mv and without LLC1 I can suffer game crashes.

Just had my 4th reboot in 2 days. Rolling back to 3.0 and will contact ASROCK support.

24 hours have passed since I went back to 3.0. No reboots since. Not bad considering I had 4 reboots the previous 48 hours on 3.2. I contacted ASROCK to let them know.

Edit, ASROCK got back to me and I am working with them now. Will report back in a few days.

Considering getting this over x570 tomahawk as no stock of that and this has 3xm.2.
Anyone have any thoughts if worth the extra £70 ish?

I would probably have gone for the x570 tomahawk myself if it was available at the time. It's got 2.5G lan compared to 1G on the taichi - and I'm only using one M2 slot anyway. Chipset fan better positioned on the tomahawk too. I'm not exactly sure what extra you're getting for the additional £70 or so for the taichi to be honest.

Edit: A quick review between the two and the taichi has an extra M2 slot (disabled if you have anything in PCIe slot 5), two extra sata ports, a debug display, some led lighting and a metal shroud. 1GB intel lan. Guess it depends on if that's what you are after?

Paid £150 for my Taichi brand new due to a pricing error on a competitor, been over the moon with it.

I heard a rumor of a new Agesa version any news if and when were getting it?

Thanks fizzy for your reply.
Not bothered about LAN speed as will be using wifi, but the chipset fan is important. Very bad design by asrock.
Extra M.2 is biggest plus for Taichi, already have 2xM.2 and will prob get more.
Will wait two more weeks, if no Tomahawk will get Taichi.

With a few days of testing.. on 3.20 I can run XMP (3200cl14) but my previous OC (3600cl16) just isn't stable. I am going to sit on 3.0 for now. ASROCK told me that sometimes a new AGESA may throw out RAM compatibility. Will wait for the next one and test again but as 3.0 is rock solid for me I am happy enough.

Having upgraded through every bios since release I can say that several times what had been a stable overclock became unstable on a new bios.
Start from scratch alter a few settings and I always got back to either same or better results.
You have to be prepared to experiment with new values.

Seem to have an issue with RGB just not working on 1.6. Been working ever since that bios released, when I exited a game yesterday it reverted to rainbow, turned PC on this morning and dead. Bios says it's on 255 green, press apply and nothing. Worth updating bios? I would rather not because the default fan settings are a pain to change

I've got to say... 3.20 is the best one yet no cold booting no fan screeching, touch wood, 3600 RAM still isn't stable past 3533mhz but at least it lets you know by failing to POST at all now...

After a lot of trial and error with different timings, I got my RAM stable at 3600 by just using the default XMP profile and 1.398v. Might be worth giving that a go, as when i was trying to amend the advanced settings, it was causing issues?

I have been having trouble with getting 3600 stable on 3.20 but keep giving up with fiddling too much.

XMP (even with higher DRAM voltage) doesn't seem to be playing nicely. I can get reliable POSTs and passes in quick memtests but in certain games I'll get crashes and others I'll get stuttering on audio / graphics occasionally.

I'm running 3700X with 4x 8GB Team Group Dark Pro "8Pack Edition" PC4-28800C16 3600MHz on the X570 Taichi

I know it's a silicon lottery but anyone had any luck with a similar config?
