Assange to go!

Slimeball. I guess at least it wouldn't be our problem anymore. Part of me just wants the Americans to stick a bullet in him, but then that would be naughty.

It makes me think that he is guilty of the rape charges and will avoid answering the allegations at any cost...even a desperate act of seeking asylum in Ecuador....

He says he is being persecuted.......err, actually he is wanted for questioning in relation to serious criminal offences and has been afforded every recourse to present his case and given courtesies such as house arrest where someone else may well have been remanded.....'Persecution'?......nice if you can it!!!!

He is a bit of a tool, not the best spokesman for an organisation that has revealed a lot of things that were in the public interest!
*points to collateral damage video*.

How would this work, Assange is currently in Ecuador's London embassy where it seems the police can't arrest him. I think at the moment our police are trying to arrest him for breach of bail, not 100% about that, but come the 28th? they certainly will be. But regardless, if Ecuador do offer him asylum, he wouldn't make it anyway as i assume as soon as he steps outside he will be arrested and extradited to Sweden?

Wow Assange you're really in some political situation aren't you.

Thats my understanding. The embassy (sp) is sovereign ground, so our law enforcement cannnot enter - but surely when he steps foot outside / drives out we can stop and detain?

So you think that he is innocent because he is famous?

Bottom line is that Sweden has a robust and fair justice system and if he has been accused of a crime then he should stand trial like anyone else.

If he is innocent or guilty is for thr Swedish court to decide on the evidence put to them.
Well, if I recall correctly one of the charges the women says she consented, but she thought he was going to use contraception (not really rape).

Why exactly would she wait all this time?.

It seems far too politically convenient for him to go down just as he releases all the documents.

This looks, quacks & walks like a duck (setup).

The cynic in me thinks the women are just making it up for attention/money/whatever.

I don't even think it's a conspiracy, I just think they're hoes.

;D

The women have since dropped the allegations.

He was never actually accused of raping anyone, he was basically accused of having consensual sex while not using a condom, without consent. It sounds weird because its the closest translation other than just calling it rape like the media have/did.

I read somewhere that a guy lived 15years in US embassy in Poland.

Correct, but I wonder what are legalities surrounding this are if he were to be taken out in the diplomatic bag? After all, as far as I know, there are no size limits or restrictions on the 'bag', so it's perfectly feasible.

Have they? Do you have a (credible) source for this? Not that I am questioning it, just that I hadn't heard that.

I think that it was a little more than "without consent", I believe that he said that he would use a condom and didn't or that it "fell off". One or both of the women involved went to the Police to try to force Assange to have an AIDS test. Frankly, I find it hard to believe that in this day and age, in a developed country like Sweden, any intelligent woman would agree to have unprotected sex with a virtual stranger.

As I recall, this whole thing blew up because Assange was screwing two women whilst claiming that he wasn't - i.e. cheating and lying. For someone who is so preoccupied with openness and honesty, he sounds like an arrogant hypocrite. As to the women, they sound as if they had bought into celebrity culture.

intelligent women have unprotected sex all the time...??? what does this day and age and being a developed country have to do with it...??

:confused::confused::confused:

IIRC if the embassy has a car park or area you can drive into he could feasibly get into a diplomatic car in the embassy grounds and be taken to an airport then get out in the international area of that airport and board a plane. The diplomatic car classes as sovereign soil (I know it sounds ridiculous) and although the police can stop it they cannot detain, enter or search it.

NB: I got this information from watching CSI :P
