Is it me, or are the controls bloody hard to get used to (Keyboard BTW)?

I was using a game pad but I tried out the 5 button mouse set-up. It's very nice tbh. If you're used to using a game pad then it may suit you better but I much prefer mouse + keyboard now :)

What sort of settings would i be able to run this at on the folowing system?

Q6600
4GB RAM
8800GTS 640mb

Res: 1280x1024

That's a joke, right?
When there's a game your rig won't play at 1280x1024, I'll mail you personally and let you know.

There, no need to ask such a silly question ever again :D

This game is really really really dull. Every mission is exactly the same, "free running" becomes old fast, and the fights are too easy.

Grab - throw - stab.

or

Sword/ Short sword - defend - counter.

Even not using the two methods above and trying to up the difficulty, fights are still insanely easy. Looks nice though...

you can fullscreen the game by pressing ALT+Return, then it runs in full screen, otherwise its ******* annoying.

I too am getting bored of this game...

You can add me to that list as well.

It looks stunning, the movement and combat are good and I love the setting. However, after a few hours, the novelty wears off and the missions become *really* boring. I've just reached the Rich District in Damascus and I'm looking at my map thinking "I can't be bothered to shlep over all the unexplored area just to do missions I have done before".

A real shame. If it had a Witcher-esque plot it would a superb game.

Now I'm relying on Mass Effect to bring in the fun times as Ass Creed has been a let down, R6 Vegas 2 is a complete let down...

Don't get me wrong, The Witcher is not without its faults, although it is much improved by the patches. If you can, I'd hold off playing it until they release the Enhanced Version in May. If you have the full game it will be a free update.

Not sure about creed i kinda like the repetinus of it all mm not sure if i spelt that correct :)

And yes R6 Vegas 2 is pants to be honest.

Finally finished my tour of duty this morning ,got this installed and started playing.

Couple of things I have noticed.

The "lip sync" of the characters during cut scenes seems to lag behind the actual words being spoken via the sound. However, having read the possible fix for this a few posts back regarding the hardware accel, I will try that.

After say......40 mins playing, the entire game performance appears to start "degrading" if thats the correct descriptive word to use?.

I.e. it all starts progressively slowing down like the game is caching or something?. Last game I had installed that exhibited this problem was "Just Cause".

Quiting, restarting PC and starting the game again does the trick, but its annoying.

Controls are fiddly to get used to.

I've also installed this on my Dell XPS 1530 laptop and its playing very smoothly at 1440x900 at med details in DX10 mode ( My desktop system has an X1900XT which only manages DX9 ).

Nice!!! :D

One thing, at the start of the game I read text on the screen that said "When you see a Glitch, press any button".

What's that about?.

Interesting game so far though, I'm going to keep at it for now.

A glitch is normally in a cut scene, the screen appears to flicker and seems like the Animus (sp?) is showing the symbols / code.

It just lets you change camera view / see different things.

I played this game on the 360, it's fairly boring tbh - the only bit thats interesting is when you get a new weapon.

The free running is ok now and then, but the missions are boring as hell after you've done one or two.

Cheers for that m8, kinda thought as much that this was all it did.

Thing is, during a games cut scenes, I tend to sit back with my hands off the mouse/ KB and watch them ( especially when you can't skip them like in this game ) so I missed hitting the mouse button the first few times but I've caught it a few times since.

Yep, all it seems to do is change camera perspective. :)
