I never see the point in using "leaked" copies of games, they're only ever £25/£30 at the most. I'd never use them myself, and surprised to see their use being quite so out in the open.

Some peeps claim it detects GPU wrongly (cant comment), I get 4/4 for the 2 settings in Retail game but only got 3/3 in Leaked copy.

At another guess, you should be able to change any settings inc RES+Eyecandy in a .ini or .cfg file but I had no such luck on the Leaked copy trying to get 3/3 MS at my choosen RES.

You know, i have the full retail game, but am using keyboard drivers to start the game,

Maybe that could be the problem, I will have to investigate

Yep, if i restore the original exe and insert the DVD it does indeed activate the 4/4 options

it also adds another line in the ini, HDR lighting

Hey,

Just got AC today, haven't played it much but I noticed I wasn't getting any AA? im running 1440 X 900 with a 8800gts 320 and i've got the multisampling option on 3/3.

Any ideas?

cheers

Checked your nvidia control panel? Is AA set to app controlled?

Just completed it, shame about the ending, I was expecting something more to happen. It does make me look forward to Assassins creed 2. Seen a few people say it's going to be a trilogy.

I'm just hoping they're not going to release the PC version months after the console versions again. :(

OMG ive just done about 5 laps of the 'real world' bit at the end, trying to figure out what i was supposed to and my god does he walk slowly, then suddenly remembered one of the controls i rarely used in the game

Well what can i say about the ending ... 'Oh My God, What is that!?'
Is that it?
Wow, that's like ... amazing, totally blown away

Oh and regarding the it not recognising cpu's. it says my laptops 2Ghz Core Duo 2 isn't fast enough, but still plays it!

Yeah the ending ends too much on a cliffhanger....makes you wanting more.

And I agree Eagle Vision is next to pointless, poorly implemented.

I've been waiting for this game to come out on the pc for aaaaaggggeeeees and now that I've finally got it I'm getting bored of the first level when you go to damascus. It just seems that all I'm doing is helping stupid civilians get away from pestering guards. Anyone else this bored this early in the game?

It defo gets a lot harder when you get to ,memory block 4. Yet it's still very easy to dispatch the bad guys. It is a little boring, but still playable. I am gutted cos I have now finished STALKER with all endings.

I'm enjoying it but having some graphical glitches which I wasn't expecting. The in game AA setting seems a bit pants cause I can still see quite noticably the jaggies.
Also shadows seem to jump around a lot like theyre "spaz-eming". ANyone else having this issue?
And does anyone know a decent Forced Anti Aliasing option for this game in Nvidia control panel? I playing with a GTX.

At certain RES's as I said before, the MS is greyed out and locked at 1/3.

I run 1920x1440 so thats the case for me.

I then yesterday edited this " Assassin.ini " here : C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\Ubisoft\Assassin's Creed (The gap in Assassin's is not there only when I post here, even is not there if I choose edit)

They claimed on site you can set to 2/4/8/16, I found no matter what I set it to from default 0 inc setting to 1 (I think), it sets to 3/3.

This seems to have set the MS to 3/3 at my choosen RES of 1920x1440 where as it was only 1/3 before, but it is still greyed out and I aint going back to play it till Vegas 2 is completed.

geting boring now in every town you have to do the same thing climb use eagle view pick pocket save civilians kill the target and then repeat your self again

indeed very repetive game. Very good, and original concept though. I managed to finish it (although the last fight was damn anoying)
Theres no motive to collecting all the flags and killing all the Templars on the PC version, as opposed to the 360 version, where you get achivements for collecting everything.

Good game. No replay value. Hopefully they'll get past these issues in the next game.

Generally speaking Assassin's Creed stays in my good books. Very original, beatiful game with a lot of future potential. :)

Pretty much agree with all that m8.

I'm finding it a bit repetitive, but not enough to make it boring, yet. I'm at Memory Block 4 now, so things are getting a little more interesting.

I think its a very polished product on the whole, and I'm also loving the soundtrack and music.

Anyone know who did the music?. Sounds very like a Jesper Kyd arrangement in some places?. I'm guessing it was him?.

I'm ****** with Ubishaft for not releasing this game on Steam to us Europeans...I would have loved having a digitally distributed copy of the game.
