Assassin's Creed Unity

I finally picked it up last week. It was a little buggy in places but playable and a good game overall. I wish there was a little less side stuff and little more focus on the main story (I personally miss the modern things, it feels like they've just given up on the overall story pretty much, it barely gets a token reference in this one. I liked how they connected each game and gave a break from time to time)

I've finished the main story now. I've done a fair chunk of side missions but still have a fair bit to do, but I've got Far Cry 4 on the way to me so I'll be playing that mostly. Dead Kings is released on the 12th though so I'll definitely play AC again to get that finished.

I enjoyed Unity, but maybe it's because I'm crap at following stories, most of the time i couldn't really follow what was going on. I got the general gist of it, but some of the details made no sense, like why people were doing what they were doing, etc.

Started playing this the other day on PS4 and so far am really enjoying it. Love the AC series and played all of the major titles released.

only 3% into it and have experienced 2 bugs. 1) got stuck on a wall when using cover in a door way. No way out and had to close the game and restart. 2) if you try and start up initiates (how long has this been in maintenance?) and then go back into the game, I cannot get Arno to do anything. I can access the map, but Arno will not respond to any commands. Again requires me to shut down the game and restart. Neither have been game breaking really though.

Overall I like the look. Not sure yet about the new Parkour system. the movement through the world seems more 'floatier' than previous titles and trying to get through a window when you really need to is more miss than hit. Combat seems okay and seems to fit with my AC muscle memory. Though have had to readjust somewhat after 40+hours on Shadows of Mordor just prior to this.

I was playing DA Inquisition, but really have not got into that even after nearly 10 hours of play. Tried this and the old AC hooks went right in so going to play this instead. Seems much more interesting than Dragon Age. Yes I was surprised as well by this!

Well I've completed this now and am working through the rest, the city of Paris does seem to weave a spell over me somewhat, it's a very interesting game world. For everyone's notice the free 'Dead Kings' expansion is out now for XB1 and tommorow for PS4, according to IGN it is worth a look, the new Guillotine gun looks fun!

Fast travel to somewhere on the map will fix that bug.

Started to play this last night on ps4...

soon realised that this is actually one of the best games in terms of npc on screen at once I've ever seen.. the streets of Paris are crammed and as busy as Tesco would be during a new years sale.. crazy..

graphically it's a looker, unlocked all the viewpoints, just how many collectables? Seems a good game imo, shame it released in such a state, as now it's patched up seems ok to me..playing it on ps4

This is reassuring, I got this for Xmas but haven't got round to playing it yet.

It's next on the list after I've finished Far Cry 4 :).

Yeah , I got it for sub 25 quid so took a punt, glad I did. its better then black flag, and I've seen a few glitches but nothing like what was being posted, and the crowds are very dense as in loads of people.. the viewpoint panoramic views are stunning, and the light used is pretty good...

story wise, well it's an ac game, follow closely otherwise you might lose the plot lol

Some people downplay the bugs playing through the single player but the game has an uneartly amount of problems, lots of graphical/control glitches and the co-op is a laggy mess. Unpatched it can be considered a broken game.Single player is playable enough now however but overall it wasn't released in anywhere near a good enough state.

I played through it on Xbox One on release and did not find it to bad tbh. There was a few bugs but nothing game breaking and no more than most other games released lately.

Before playing ac unity I'd just finished up la noire on ps3 and that had it's fair share of glitches and performance issues... its been going on for quite some time has glitches in games...

I don't think the game is in its patched state all that bad now. not defending sloppy programming but I'm just saying for sub 25 quid and if you like the series then it's now worth a punt
