Assassin's Creed: Unity

Same sequence 9 seems really short feel like I'm just getting warmed up.

Iv locked my frame rates to 30fps

Playing

Ultra environment
High textures
Soft shaddows
HBAO+
FXAa

And vsync enabled in nvidia Control panels.

It's hooked up to my tv so not worried about frames. It's been great the nvidia control panel vsync stopped my cutscene stuttering issue.

The only time it has fallen on frames is in a part where you burn down a building it was in the high 20s for a bit which was bad but apart from that it's been rock solid 30fps

Gtx 680 Msi lightening clocked @1250 core and 500+ on memory

Patch 1.4 improved things but it still scales very badly and isn't even close to what I would expect from a aaa title. So hopefully more patches to come

Im really enjoying this game. Maybe because I haven't played an AC since Brotherhood so not got used to playing the same repetitive game every year.

* pops in to see if Ubisoft have gotten their act together yet, and maybe I can actually play this game they wanted to charge £49.99 for, with a straight face might I add. *

* I'll be off then... *

It would never do 60fps on my gtx680 even on low settings so Iv settled for more eye candy and solid 30. I play on a tv with a controller anyways so doesn't bother me :)

What's this game like with all the patches? Never really played the AC series much but I'm playing AC IV Black Flag and actually really enjoying it. Seems like a huge game as it's taking me a while to progress, so I take it Unity is shorter?

My two pence.

I waited for the 1.4 patch before I touched the game. I play at 1920x1200 res. All setting maxed AND TXAA was playable, but I was getting hitching. After watching You Tube videos I saw people with better rigs than mine playing with FXAA, so I tried that instead. Made a big enough difference with minimal drop in IQ.

On the to the game. The city is good and there is a lot going on. However it's the same a lot going on all over the place. (If that makes any sense.)

This was the first game however that gave me the illusion that these people where going about their daily routines. I even stopped just to watch the executions.

I feel like they spent all their time working on the city and not on actually story missions. I played for about 6 hours on the main story then realised I was about 70% through the game, so slowed down and did some of the side stuff.

Unfortunately most of the missions are very samey. Go to A, retrieve or kill B, return etc etc etc....

Some better than others, but ultimately, I didn’t feel like the side quests where that interesting.

The main story is short, and also not very good. Hardly any Actually Assassin / Templar story line in this one. It didn’t forward the story at all. No out of the animus stuff either.

Over all, it was OK, but not one of the best AC in the series. I would give it 7/10. Worth a play, but only when cheap. Like £15.

Go Ubisoft forums there's a fix for the SLI flickering and makes SLI work too....it works for me on 680s even.

I have been using BF4 profile to get semi-playable FPS (40-70). Only problem is the mud puddles in the streets flicker. Anyone got any advice?
