Assassin's Creed: Unity

I'm trying to disable SLI to get this game playable. I set it to disable for ACU.exe in Nvidia CP, but when I launch the game it just reverts back to SLI mode.

I don't want to disable SLI universally, just for this piece of ... I mean, game.

Got a 5.44 GB patch yesterday and now the game runs much slower than it did last week when I first played. I can no longer have everything on high it seems, even medium settings its now struggling to give me 30 FPS :( anyone else had this?

A lot of people said performance is worse than 1.3. I never played 1.3 but 1.4 broke SLI (water flickering) so I've parked this until they sort it out.

I had to swap TXAA for FXAA.

I've done this from the start and suggested it to others too, I gain a solid 20fps switching to FXAA and in my opinion the IQ isn't much different either. Also with TXAA in 1.4 there appears to be white dots appearing on random models too which is odd to say the least. :p

Update on my 1.4 game start woes.

It seems I had to re-verify all the game files which did end up finding errors so re-downloading a few files. I also ended up using the latest drivers from the Nvidia site (not beta). Deleted the settings files from AC Unity directory in the Documents directory.

Played it for a couple of hours last night and I had no crashes and glitches.

Runs slow for me, especially makes fighting difficult, even with graphics turned down to just High and being switched to FXAA as recommended earlier.

Bought Far Cry 4 the other day and it runs perfectly with everything maxed out

This game is really short isnt it?

I've only played maybe 4-5 hours and I am already at Sequence 9.

Now I realise Im about 70% through the game.

I feel like I've only just begun.

It's a good game despite it's technical issues. First game I've found where you can actually just stop and watch whats going on. Decided to watch the executions for a few moments. A lot going on int this city. Probably the most alive city I have ever played in a game.

And yes, FXAA will buy you back a lot of performance and really doesnt look all that different to using TXAA.

Hi all,

I need a bit of help with the game (again).

It all worked fine before Christmas but now that I have some time to sit down and play the game its screwed itself up.

Update required... not a problem. clicks okay.

Now when the game starts I get the Ubisoft logo splash screen, then the notice for any idiots that think its factual and then it minimises to desktop but the audio continues of main menu.

I have no mouse cursor when this happens so alt+tab back in would be my next go to, I try this but to no luck. Ctrl+Alt+Del I get a mouse back, click task manager but once back on the desktop mouse cursor has gone again and I have to navigate the task manager with tab and shift+tab to get to ACU and end the task.

Long story short I can't be arsed to play it right now but any fixes I can try?

Have you tried verifying the files? Think the drop down arrow next to play and press verify (iirc)

Yeah, That worked on watch dogs so gave it a go on AC-U but no luck. All that has changed is that I've played the crew lol. I just wanted a break from that and to go back to AC-U but the update has killed it :(
