Assassin's Creed Valhalla

Just had a good 20 minutes or so without crashes, using ExpressVPN to Aus. Is it on a new game engine? It certainly feels like it, everything feels and looks "smoother" than Origins and Odyysey. Gameplay was very smooth but haven't checked the settings again incase it crashes. Assuming it was 2560x1440 it was around 60 fps.
I'll run a benchmark or grab settings and frame rates soon.

Same engine but the last time this engine will be used for an AC game, they've got version 3 of this engine (this is v2) in development. Its actually pretty good how far they have pushed this engine considering its a 6 year old game engine. Taken it about as far as they can though so here's to looking forward to Anvil 3.0

It's DX12 for the first time. So something is actually different (cpu usage definitely one of them).
 
Having a nightmare with Ubisoft+. Signed up and pre-loaded earlier and now they're saying my payment method is invalid (debit card). I've got the game pre-loaded but can't play it because the subscription is suspended and support aren't showing signs of life.
 
This is why you use 21:9 3440*1440, 4K is so meh !! :D

I like the story/narrative aspects but the combat is just so...meh, lacks weight/impact, feels quite spammy (maybe it improves as it goes on but ACG who I quite like mentioned the same). I mean origins/Odyssey combat wasn't amazing but something feels completely lacking in this.

Mind you, to be fair, support are probably being pounded at the moment by people who have issues with release, rather than someone who has an issue and trying to play it before its released. They've got until midnight to sort yours out :)
 
@SS-89 I feel that too, the camera draws back from multi enemy fights and there is just no feeling of the heavy weapons at all. It's like everyones made of cardboard, not armour and weapon clad.

It's the same ratio height as 4k lol, UW here and even playing 4k on the TV feels too boxed in.

Also, what time does this game release GMT?
