Now moved onto Asgard which is huge mystical land similar to Atlantis in Odyssey

I'm not enjoying this as much as I enjoyed Odyssey. Not sure if covid caused development issues or something, but the game world feels a lot more empty. Settlements seem to just be a bunch of generic NPCs stood as round doing nothing, plus possibly a shop, and possibly people doing some of the contest mini games. Also, the story and characters haven't really gripped me in the same way yet.

Still enjoyable enough though. And it's scratching that open-world RPG itch I've had for a while.

Lol, I have 30 hours played and have only done 2 regions so far ! (Ledecestre and Grantshire , or whatever they are called) , I think I'm going to get 200 hours out of this game :D

I have only played 14 hrs in total but moved to Asgard after about 8 hours play,I have nowhere near explored England, not even been to Lundon but got 'transported' after drinking a potion,
Build the cabin for the seer woman (Valka) who then asks you to collect flowers nearby, drink the potion she makes and you will end up in Asgard which is a massive area to explore, ( not sure how to get back yet :p )

I hadnt even left Norway after 14 hours :D , mind you I am a 100%'er , I like to get every single dot on the map done before I move onto the next zone (even the really tiny yellow dots that you can only see if you fully zoom the map in) so it takes me longer to go through things

I’m the same .... it took me about 14 hours to complete the initial Norwegian map ( can’t recall its name off the top of my head ! ) and slowly working my way through the two closest regions to Ravensthorpe now. I just like exploring in these games ; there is so much more to see, and do, than just the main quest alone.

By the way, what is everyone doing for skill point allocation ? I find I’m just stacking up points in one skill tree at the moment ( Bear ).

I'm definitely not a 100% player, it gets far too tedious and repetitive to do that, and I hate games set in snow areas so I was eager to get to England, it was the same with Red Dead.D it started in snowy mountains & I could not wait to get down to the wild west below.

Was going to give this a miss after seeing bad/mixed reviews but tempted to give it a go now

hopefully it will run on my aging pc :D

Gone pretty heavy into bear after playing around with different specs. Dual Heavy is just ridiculous in all the best ways!

My system is old but it runs with all on ultra except motion blur is off. specs are GTX1080 and i5-4690@ 3.50 GHz. averages 60 fps when playing the game.

The vital element here is my Dell G-SYNC monitor (2560X1440 @ 144Hz.) G-SYNC is truly amazing and so far has only failed to work on one game which was No mans sky when flying low across a planet

Its just something I do on open world games, I 100%'d Division 1 and 2, AC Origins and Odyssey, RDR2 etc, I just always 100% open world games. I dont even find it tedious/repetitive/boring to do so, my mind kind of gets into the groove of it and it happens without me being aware, like attaining a special nirvana :D

Sounds like my playstyle, dang compulsive seeing map all done lol. Usually worse as I tend to get all the best armor and items, even if it means going against enemies 4x higher :o

Still pondering whether I should get this now. Heard it's longer than Odyssey and that was such a copy&paste slog after around 30h...

Is this one more interesting in terms of places of interest and more sparse or is the map littered with similar stuff over and over? That was one of the main reasons, apart from the setting, I preferred Origins.

The map is more sparse, and there is a lot more wilderness, which suits the game a lot imo.

I'm enjoying more the more I get in to it. Only big negative for me is the lack of proper side quests. I get what they are going for it just isn't for me.

Exactly how I feel. Tried it through uplay+ and don't think I'd be buying it outright unless it's really cheap. I would also add that the NPCs seem...dumb compared to Odyssey NPCs.
