Assetto Corsa EVO jan 2025

Tried it last night, but it still has the massive steering dead-zone on the G29 that both AC and ACC have out of the box. Need to find some way to load a Lut file to correct it.

Bought this on release, not played yet but looks like a worthy investment to sit on while the game matures. Anyone playing, how is it?

It's an early access game so far from complete but what is there is good base to build from. Once it gets to summer time most of the game should be working. It's worth the price as it will only go up at full release.

Bought it last night and admittedly only played for about 20 minutes but already much prefer to the other 2 Assettos

I do play on controller though

Handling on controller feels much much better and the replays look far better - I always thought the previous 2 games the cars in replays looked like they were floating on the track - and if playing controller the movement looked ridiculous like the cars were rotating on back axis (as controller much more difficult to get refined movements like on a wheel) - replays in Evo to me look so much better and that digital movement look seems to have mostly gone

More than happy for 20 quid or thereabouts and will continue to get better

I bought it as soon as it was released into EA - played that evening but not since. As I only race in VR, I'll be waiting for optimisations/updates - visual quality/performance is not good on my system. Hopefully the 'VR Support - Step 2' on the roadmap will bring a meaningful update.

Am loving this game so much but am playing on controller at this point and it is not to bad to me .

Is the Moza R5 set Wheel/Pedals) a good set to start with for this game ? am not new to PC gaming as am a old timer lol , but too being ill i cannot drive anymore and miss it so much and what i have played so far on pad i like this game a lot ...

Ps on videos i see people saying to get the Accessory kit for SR-P Pedals.....

Will you be using a rig/cockpit or a desk?

For pedals a load cell on the brake is a minimum. That will give you a better experience based on force applied to the pedal. It will help with being more consistent.

The R5 is a good entry enthusiast setup. It’s also good for budget conscious as well.

Never owned Moza stuff but they are established and make some good hardware. As someone who has been simracing for over 20yrs, I'd say (within budget) get the best you can afford/justify. I've probably spent much more than I needed to through regularly upgrading stuff! One big difference I believe between R5 and R9 bundle are the pedals for example - through experience, I would always go for loadcell pedals.

Good question on how the wheel will be fixed. Wheelstands are also worth considering potentially.

Another one of the more recent companies to emerge. Again, established for a few years now and make good hardware. I use their haptic motors on my pedals and friend has just gone all-in with their Alpha U wheel and P1000 pedals - he only has good things to say.

I use the Simagic Alpha Mini, P1000 with haptic on brake and throttle, gt neo wheel and Neo x with P330-R wheel.

It’s an incredible setup.

Is this playable with just an Xbox controller or does it need a wheel or full on sim rig?
