Assetto Corsa OcUK TT Challenge! *Season 3*

Something is wrong, or I've done something wrong, with the Williams F1. Won't load in practice mode or online mode. I can use any other car Road America however so it isn't the circuit. Anyone else having issues with the Williams?

Edit: Tried re-installing it and it still doesn't work :(
 
Can anyone else confirm this?
It works for me and all I did was zip the Williams folder in my car directory and upload it.

Can you enter the server with any of the other cars without getting a checksum error?
 
Yup, I'll re-download it and try again. I can use all the cars and the circuit in practice mode. I go to load the Williams and it just loops back to choose car. I'll report back, might be a corrupt download as the ASR Ferrari I have works perfectly OK.

Edit: Re-downlaoded, re-installed, still no joy. How strange. Now to hunt the rogue setting somewhere I guess. If it is working in yours Uncle Petey it should work in mine!
 
I notice the ASR Ferrari I have comes with a font and driver file. Couldn't be this causing the issue could it? I mean if the Williams is also meant to have one?
 
ED: Wrote this while trying to find stuff :D Guess we know what's what then.

I think the problem is that I only uploaded the car, and forgot about the driver and fonts folders. Reason being that I don't seem to have the original zip and can't find an official download apart from the current paid beta on the ASR site...

I'll have a look in my AC directory to see if I can find them. If not, I'll change the car.

These are the only things I found in there that looked relevant. There was nothing labelled Williams or FW14 etc.
Fonts shouldn't be necessary if you already have the ASR Ferrari 643.

Scratch that. I've just paid for beta access on the Williams (only £1.33) and will update the download link, along with the server in a few minutes.

All working now in practice mode! Lunch time and then I'll try the server but 99.9% sure that'll work now it is working in practice mode. Thanks Pete :D
 
Off to play with router settings though I can see and join plenty of other servers!

Didn't have to change a thing and it's popped up :D
 
I had a go in all cars yesterday. All are fun to drive in different ways and have to be driven very differently. Now to choose which one to focus on!

Edit: I tried the Ferrari today with TC turned off but I'm just not clever enough with the throttle for that :D Also had another go in the F1 but couldn't get a clean lap in :( I find it hard to be consistent in any of this weeks cars. It's like the damn apex's are repelling me :D

It's definitely beatable by at least half a second, though it requires planetry alignment and blessings from Buddha...
I don't have a replay, but I may have another crack at it later and I'll do a vid if I can match or beat it.

FWIW, I can't even get close to your Zonda/458 times...
 
Don't know how but I just knocked 0.6 off my PB in just a few laps. I was at it for about an hour last night and could not put a good lap in. The time of day is much better at this time as I can see the corners much better now, it must change the sun position when the server restarts:confused:
