Assetto Corsa OcUK TT Challenge! *Season 3*

Expect I'm going to be slow anyway as I fully intend to play in VR. Expect me suddenly crashing due to feeling motion sick :D lol
Will be awesome to just drive around on track alongside another car and play about sliding etc!
 
You haven't tried racing with it yet at all? You're gonna love it mate!
It just feels natural and you'll more than likely find that you'll be on your usual pace pretty much from the get go - apart from stopping to marvel at everything and assuming you don't puke your guts out :D

Part of the reason for doing this is that a bit of friendly competition can really help people to improve their skills, especially if the faster/more experienced drivers can help out.
We're not fighting for the F1 championship or anything, so there's no need to take it too seriously :)

Using the data on the leaderboard page is also very useful for seeing where you may be losing or gaining time and spending time with cars/tracks that we might not usually go for is also a really good way to expand your skillset.
 
A reason to fire up the rig again!

Imola is a nice track to come back to, some nice easy racing lines. Perhaps not so easy in a F50, but the rest of the line up your sticking like glue.

Anyone new to VR racing do come and give it a bash, a tidy bit of competition is a lot of motivation and self challenging.
 
I'll join in as I've just rebuild my desk so the T300 doesn't shake everything to bits when I decide to use it.

Haven't played AC for a year, so this could be hard going.

I'm just after dusting off the g25 and got my rift back out after the summer so will give this a go. I'm not very quick but I have a new found love for driving games since getting the rift.

You'll enjoy this track in VR. Great elevation changes and it looks fantastic.
 
noob question! ptracker - OP says to activate it.

Ive installed and it went straight into my AC folder in steam but how do I 'activate' it?

If you're using the standard AC launcher, then Options>scroll down to UI modules and check the box next to ptracker.
With Content Manger, you'll find your app list in settings>Assetto Corsa>Apps.

Can't remember if you need to activate it in your ingame app menu.

I can't join the server, says I don't have the mods. I'm new to AC so is the BMW e30 from dlc? The ginetta doesn't seem to want to go in either?!

Nissan's in OK cos I can run practice on the circuit in obe

My apologies. I was running the v1.4 Ginetta and hadn't realised it had been updated to v1.5.
I've updated the server.
The only DLC is the Lotus (ready to race pack).
 
I've been distracted with other things over the weekend! Ended up playing games in VR, but it was shooting Zombies in Arizona Sunshine rather than playing Assetto Corsa! May get some time this evening, but if not I'll improvise a rig to get some laps in.
My 2 options at the moment are non-ideal wheel/gearstick mount - but play in a comfortable chair without having to move all my VR, or I clamp to my desk upstairs but have a chair that rolls around and have to move my PC and all the VR stuff!
I'll have a look at entry level wheel mounts at lunchtime I think :D Need something that doesn't have a support bar in the middle of the pedals getting in the way, and can mount the wheel and the gearstick well. Ideally something that is relatively compact too...

It would be nice to see you get back on, though, as well as see what you think of racing in VR :) I know I couldn't go back to a screen FWIW.
I also reckon you'll like this week's combo, especially with the Rift.

If not, I'll definitely have something for you to wrestle with next week.
 
So I went to pick up my seat on Saturday - an hour round trip but the guy didn't turn up, not happy and wasted some of my BH weekend.

I've had a refund today and ordered another one that may turn up by the weekend.

I did manage to tear down, clean and lube my pedals though.

If it's anything like Elite in VR it's going to be epic. But I still enjoy playing on a 2D screen sometimes to mix things up, much less tiring and I can actually read text! lol
