The MP4/6 is still beta, and is only available to donators AFAIK. Don't worry though, we still have a decent selection of other open wheel type cars to head the bill in future events.

It does limit it quite heavily, but I'll see what I can do.

In the meantime, just go drive some stuff offline/online and see if you get into it. You don't need this TT thing for that

Tbh, the P1 and 911 are only there to provide something for those that don't really do race cars, or actually get on well with those particular models. I'm reasonably sure that these people exist.

I'm just trying to provide variety for different tastes, without throwing too much into the mix (or at least all the really good stuff) all at once, or we'd run out of toys in a short time.

It's also good to try cars we wouldn't normally touch.
If you have the patience, it can sometimes really help with expanding your skillset.
For example, I probably would have never bothered with the 911R/GT3 RS if I hadn't put them up on the first TT round, but there are people that love that kind of thing.
Check the love for things like the AC Cobra and Yellowbird. Not my cuppa, but there are plenty that swear by them.

So basically, I'm not just putting my personal favorites on there or anything, and hopefully there'll be something for everyone each week

Suzuka does seem really slippery. Every time I drive it after something else it takes some time to get used to!

Haven't noticed that, but I have noticed that I'm nearly 2secs off a previous PB in the Z4 and the car doesn't feel as planted as it did a few months ago around there.

I dunno.. I'm gonna blame game updates and an older track. Just because.

Could just be a perception thing though I guess. Might be that I've only ever driven this track lots in something with a load of downforce meaning as soon as I drive something without it just feels really off until I've done a load of laps.

Maybe that's it.
Maybe I just can't drive the Z4 any more?

Yeah, I'm pretty familiar with the Z4 as well as this track, and the combo definitely feels different to how it felt/drove a few months ago.

Since the track hasn't changed, I can only assume it's the rest of the game that has.

Still, we're all in the same boat and all that...

It's partly some minor setup tweaks and mostly grim determination
For me, I saw that Stuart had 4 or 5 tenths on me in S1, so I worked on that section to see where I could gain time. Many crashes, ruined laps and curses later, I eventually managed to improve.
As you can see from the combined best sectors, there's a 1:34 in there. Probably a 1:33 or better for the real aliens...

As far as setup, I just have the front wing maxed and the rear at 7 with a touch more front camber and toe. Oh, and about 12-15L of fuel.

I have no idea how you and ibert are doing those times in the P1 tbh. That's one that I just don't have the patience or talent for.
I'll have a proper go in the 911 tomorrow though. It's a relative tank, but it's not too bad.

Are any of the cars or the track written in red on the server login screen?

So just to be clear, none of the car names are written in red when you look at the server selection list?

Since you can't select the Ferrari, can I just check that you've installed it right.
When you unzip the file, did you just dump the first folder into your car folder?

If so, you needed to go into that folder, then double click the 'AC files' folder and drag/drop the 'content' folder into your main AC directory.

If it isn't that, then I'm not sure what the issue is.
Do you also have the packs required for the P1 and the 911 Turbo?

ED: And yeah, there are a couple of holes in the wall at Suzuka. I've noticed a couple if you spin off to the left at the final chicane.

Yep, drag the content folder into your main AC directory. Just let it overwrite.

The idea is to not hit the walls I only found a hole when going way off track at the chicane fwiw.
Suzuka is one of the greatest circuits out there IMO. It's a challenge to get bang on, and this is supposed to be a challenge, right?

As for this week's circuit, I never said anything about 'special' and in all honesty, I've forgotten what I was I going to pick anyway
So... I guess we can do rinsed out Spa if you guys want? '15 or '16 919?

ED: Cancel the 919. Let's go with some non-DLC cars this week.
