Assetto Corsa OcUK TT Challenge! *Season 3*

Managed to get a 2:09 once....then nowhere near it again. No idea how I managed that.

@no idea what I've got an fk automotive that I got in the new year. Dirt cheap but I'm really enjoying it. No where near the quality of the other known seats but I wasn't sure how much Sim racing I was going to do moving forward so didn't want to spend a lot.

I had to turn off Crepuscular Rays option as it was absolutely blinding me on the second last turn (depending on the time of evening in the sim) and ruining any chance of a good lap. Struggling with finding a faster time with the Audi, takes a bit of adjusting to after driving the McLaren.

I just managed a 02:08.213, it's taken me many many laps to get that though! I think I've got the first sector pretty much nailed now though. It's just the second two I need to work on.

Those FK ones look decent for the money, I'm the same, don't want to invest mega money into it!

Oh fantastic idea, that's a nightmare on that corner, just done that now :D

There's a sub 2 minutes in that Mazda for sure. I just don't know if I have it in me to do it lol. I was well up on my prev time by 2 tenths and lost it in turn 3. I tried and tried again but I just couldn't find it.

162(!) laps later, I finally got it down to a 02:06.991 last night. I guess practice does help :D

Yes man !

I jumped on last night with my XBone pad to see what's what. Really really need a wheel! Might see if I can hook something up, hard to be smooth but fun challenge while I keep my eyes out for a used wheel. Fancy a Thrusmaster TS-PC, preferably the 488 version but they're a lot of money without pedals.

I just bought this: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/thru...er-edition-pc-xbox-one-4468007-gc-074-th.html

Imho a good upgrade from the likes of the G920 without breaking the bank. Really pleased with it.

darwin is on just now. He will eclipse my time lol

Brilliant lap there Sparc, not a chance I can improve that much to pass either you or Pete, I reckon there's another two tenths in the Mazda for me and that's about it.
@no idea what, yes building a rhythm is good you get to learn the reference points for braking, and the ideal line through different corners, keep at it! Sometimes simply watching the lines other drivers take (e.g. on youtube) can give you ideas as to where you can make up time. Car setup is another skill to develop - I'm rubbish at it, just know the very basics. One simple tip is to set the gearing so you are just hitting the rev limiter at the end of the longest straight.

Worth it mate. Had one for nearly 3 years, around 700hrs usage, and it's still holding strong like new. Matched it up with the T3PA pro's which are the only thing Id probably upscale, the wheel is great.

Is this just for AC or AC Competizione?

I can't download Road America it just says 'No permission to download'? It looks like you have to pay to sign up?

As said, signup is free.
They have a paid premium membership option for people who want to do stuff like joining their race events etc. It's not required for downloading mods.

Also, it's pretty much the central hub of the AC modding community, so you'll be visiting often if you become a regular here :)

I'm telling you guys. Somebody with talent could get into the 58's with that Mazda !

Mr Lizard has done a blinder of a lap there. If I wasn't already several vodkas in I would give it another go tonight lol !

hey guys, bit confused by the ptracker thing, I've installed it but couldn't see it in the ui?

There is definitely a 58 in the Mazda, I've managed 4/10ths up on my time but can't string a lap together, 2nd gear or the diff wants to kill me!

good fun though! :)
