Assetto Corsa

This is on Steam sale for 3 quid, if its moddable and still played has to be worth having for a try at this point. 6 quid for all dlc included I think

Utter bargain

I really need to stop downloading mods for this, as it is starting to take up ridiculous space on my SSD, but I can't help myself.

I must have around 170 tracks and even more cars.

I reckon I could do with a bit of a clear out

last couple of days I've been doing ok in PC2 , and tried it online and done a couple of races

I've now jumped into AC and i noticed 2 things straight away

Seems more realistic , I'm using a gamepad, and its just different handling to PC2 game (same car and track etc)

The racing lines is harder in AC to use, what i mean by this , its always a colour and doesn't represent your speed, its not "progressive" like in PC2

there is no circuit map on the screen

and i didn't hear any commentary from my pit crew in AC at all ?

First of all, try not to use any racing line aids. Find a youtube video track guide and learn from that.

2nd of all, AC is a racing sim and PC2 is more simcade.

AC will be extremely difficult to play on a control pad. It's recommended to use a steering wheel

Totally agree with this, both PCARS2 and AC are absolutely night and day from pad to wheel.

Even something entry level like a Logitech DFGT which can be had for £30-40 is amazing. I had one until few weeks ago when I treated myself to a G29 setup

really ?

i did have a wheel before, too much noise, so i had to get rid of it sadly :(

if there's anyway i can "quieten" down the thumping of the pedals through the floorboards and no force feedback through the wheel so its silent, id be up for trying it again

Logitech's software used have a fully adjustable configuration for the force feedback and vibration forces that was pretty good from memory. was all part of the logitech "gaming software" i think it was called. if you get hold of a cheap DFGT i used V5.10 on that one which was the best suited one that worked for W10/11

when i play this game its a racing track , so how is yours different ? looks amazing
the mod community for this game is HUGE!

there is literally anything you could ever dream of having these days and the updates to the graphics engine are unbelievable.

The tokyo expressway mod is mind blowing

Direct drive wheels run much much quieter. Silent infact. If you hear vibrations from the dd wheel it's purely down to how and where its mounted on.

£500 for the R5 bundle, not bad price really considering a Thrustnmaster T300 is around £300
