Assetto Corsa

The game looks awsome as it is in my opinion... some parts of the tracks could use a little work and i wish they had weather effects. I run this with 8x SSAA and its basically jaggy free..I cant decide if i like motion blur on or off though... i think i prefere it off as i like the sharper look of the visuals... Love the in cockpit view on this and being able to customise it to the position you want... It feels amazing on my 55inch TV just really need a wheel to enjoy this even more.

oh nice, yeah let us know how you get on :D

Well I've had a little play for an hour or so and I'm not utterly wowed by it (CSR wheel) tbh.

*DISCLAIMER* This is not my final 'review' or anything, just first impressions and comparisons based on 2yr old memories :)

After updating to the latest drivers/firmware and getting it set up in AC, I did a few laps in various cars and gave it a brief dial-in with the on-wheel settings.

While it's nice, I didn't feel that it was a huge leap over a DFGT in terms of feel and feedback. /controversy.jpg :p Yes, you don't get 'cogging', but there is what feels like a little bit of belt slip here and there, although I wouldn't say it's an issue. Paddles are nice though.

The pedals are quite a lot better as you'd imagine, but for me and my size 12's, even the max preload on the throttle isn't firm enough and I'll be looking into a tuning kit.
CSR Elites and an inversion kit may have been a better choice than CSP's for me.

I still need to get the brakes/load cell dialed in and I'm way off the times that I was getting with a pad, but then I'm so used to using a pad that it's no surprise that it'll take a while to adjust and get the settings exactly where I want them.

Anyway, those are just early thoughts and we'll see how it goes :)

Just had my first go since buying this a couple of days ago. I jumped into the 500 abarth first as its slow, was terrible to drive massive understeer.
I jumped in the special event "Attitdue Pro" in the Abarth open wheeler for a laugh.

It was 10x easier to drive! I done my first lap in 2.00.700 from standing start.
I thought they would have live leaderboards by now to see how far behind I am.

Would someone jump in and do a single standing start lap (I did have racing line and abs on mind due to not knowing the track or the game lol) Im using a g27 wheel and pedals too that ive also never used. Im guessing im about 10secs of the pace for the event!

Thanks
Sean

Wow that car is fun to drive, cant believe I have not tried it before lol

Had a bit of a play last night. Messed about with the GFX settings to see how good I could get it to run with just 9 AI. I kept getting random 95% > CPU usage messages whilst playing, though the game seemed fine for the majority of it, it just seemed to be a bit random.

Your ATI FirePro M7740 is pretty terrible mate.

I have the GTX 660 ti and can run Assetto with no issues.

However what are your full system specs?

Tomorrow's patch should have this (+other stuff):
