Nope this one doesn't have 53 layers of wax!!!

Hmm looks fairly nice and all, but it just seems as though the whole VXR range is being milked a bit too much.

Altough 300bhp would be nice and dare I say it a Focus RS competitor?

Hefty price tag, for an Vauxhall Astra.

"Hi we're Thorney Motorsport and we'd like to take a second hand car with a shedload of miles on it, stick some extras on and then flog it to you for above the original OTR price"

Bloody waste of time. They tried this already with the Astra Diesel.

I am dubious about the 170mph top speed, also could a fwd put down the power to achieve a sub 5 sec sprint to 60? hmmm.

I can't think of any FWD car that can do sub 5. I would like to see this happen though.

Production cars anyway. I'm sure some mad jap has got a Glanza or Pulsar to 60 in sub 5 before.

Why wouldn't a FWD car do a sub 5 second time to 60? Its all done in a straight line so the fact the front wheels have to turn and put down the power doesn't matter, also you've got a good bit of weight over the front wheels (engine).

I am not saying it wouldn't, I am just saying I dont think there is a production fwd car that will do a sub 5 sec 0-60 time and so I find it a little optomistic.

True but this could be helped by using a similar system that ferrai use to stop the rear of the car dip under hard acceleration / gear changes.

Must be loads of tuned fwd cars that do sub 5 seconds to 60, hardly any / non stock since fwd in a performance car isn't a desirable solution.

26k is abit much, but will be interesting to see how the LSD helps the handling as it did wonders for the Megane.

The corsa one doesnt seem too bad, only a few grand more than the standard.
