Have you worked out your 24/7 clocks?

I am slowly making small changes to my 24/7 clocks to get the most out of them for every day use. So far they are:

Core voltage: 1310mv
Core Speed: 1250MHz
Memory: 7250MHz
Power Limit: 120%
Loadline: 100%

I run Heaven a lot and also playing my everyday games as normal until i see artifacts. So far with these settings everything's good. Will try 7300 on the memory tomorrow. In regards to the core, 1250MHz is the best clock for heat : performance : noise. 1275MHz requires more voltage, thus increasing heat and noise. Not worth it.

Thanks for that.

I'll give them a whirl later as spent most of my time trying to sort out
eyefinity presets.

l was a bit concerned about the noise after
what you said.
But I'm find them very quiet even with the fans set to 70%

Glad I took the plunge and got one.

No problem.

For me i find anything over 75% is too much. 70-75% is fine for gaming. When they sort out GPU tweak i will have a fan profile kinda like this:
70% @ 60c
75% @70c
80% @ 75c
100% @ 80c

Regardless of which, for desktop use the fans are soooo damn quiet isn't it? :)

They are quieter than my Classifieds and I
thought they were quiet.

Any idea on when the improved
Gpu tweak is out?

What would you say max volts for benching?

Nope, no idea. I've just been told that they're working on it and it'll be out "soon", that was a week ago. After posting a rant about it on the ROG forum.

As for max volts. As high as you can go whilst staying under 75c IMO. I've kept to 1.35v as a maximum really. Tried 1.375v but was getting toasty and didn't help at all.
I think water is required to make 1.35v+ useful.

Turns out the memory sucks on my Matrix Platinum. 1825 (7300) seems to crash the card.

Also, can't wait for the new GPU Tweak, current version is flipping out.
Every now and then, usually when i leave my PC for a little while, GPU Tweak locks up to the point i have to force quit it and run it again. But when i start it again it sets the voltages to default, gets rid of the advanced options and doesn't let me do anything until i reboot the entire system.... lame.
Hurry up ASUS.

Your not wrong about Gpu tweak

I have to keep starting it as it doesn't start
with windows.
Doesn't keep saved settings properly

Need it sorting asap
or I can see lots of ppl returning their cards

Tried different software but can't control the
Voltage or fans properly

Apart from a software point the card is a keeper

Mine starts with Windows fine, make sure the option is ticked in settings.
It's probably the only setting that doesn't have an issue for me :p

Done that each time I reinstalled GPU tweak
makes no difference

Hahaha! Dear lord, it is just a terrible piece of software.

I never had this many problems with it on my GTX580 Matrix Platinum, just a few annoying GUI bugs and one relating to linking overclocks to other cards.

I think i'll give them a poke over on the ROG forums.

Hi there

Here is some Heaven results at 5.25GHz though the OC does very little in Heaven in 1080p as it due to the graphics, but the Piledriver chip is certainly no bottleneck:-

Heaven @ 1920x1080 w/ 4x/4x and tesselation on normal!

Also the 7970GHz cards are insanely fast, this is an Asus Matrix Platinum at 1270MHz core and 7100MHz memory, wow what an amazing card!! :D :D :D
