well it cam i built it up and 2 of the ram slots are faulty, meaning no dual channel, as the dram led stays on and wont boot up.
RMA,d it waiting for replacement

btw the way the bios was reading 1305, is this the upto date one ??

i managed to get there due to booting with one stick of ram.

Thats bad luck mate.

Yes the 1305 bios is the latest according to the Asus global site.
 
hmm checked my RMA today and itr says returning to customer, yet the bloke i spoke to in support said my mobo was faulty, as whenboth sticks of ram were in the dram red light wud stay on and it wudnt boot. gahhhhh
 
Switched my computer on this morning, it started, switched off, restarted, switched off, then restarted again, stopped at the screen saying overclock failed, hit F1 to enter setup, ??

I didn't even have the chip overclocked since i installed the new bios !!!

Now i have went from a double boot problem to a triple boot problem. LOL.

I am really starting to dislike Asus. I've liked Asus for years but their QC on these motherboards and software (AI suite. Hah!) is shocking. Time for a change of allegiance methinks.

Did you clear CMOS?
As for those asus P8P67 mobos,i dont have problems,but if some gigabyte or MSI have some asus boards features,i will jump ship immediately
 
Gettin fairly sick of my board, sent my mobo back over 3 weeks ago now, tried to find out when I'll get a replacement and was told 1 - 2 more weeks. Only had it for 5 weeks before it broke, gotta say gettin kinda frustrated.

No excuse for delays like that. Shoddy service. Is it Asus or another retailer you returned the board to?
