Asus P8P67 Update!!!

Ill see if I have time to try this tonight. Are you using the space bar to do a cold boot or come out of sleep?

Both. It works to come out of sleep but doesn't work from a cold boot so I have to use the power button on my case. Thanks for taking a look.

Does anyone else use the spacebar on their USB keyboard to power on? Doesn't seem to work for me on this board, using the latest bios. I obviously have it set in the APM section to "power on by keyboard / spacebar"
No mention of USB keyboard/mouse on page 3-22. It specifically states PS/2.

And I'm pretty sure I've seen other users reporting that the boards do not provide power to usb devices when sleeping / off (one guy gave an example of using a usb mobile phone charger with his old board).

anyone here using the 1204 bios yet? (first page of hard forum thread)
hd no issues for over a week now until last night, when my GPU gave itself 1.675v  (its a 5850). rebooted, seemed fine.
today on loading windows (well, 2 mins after, still on desktop) computer freezes on me (no bsod, just freezes)

just flashed with 1204 so far so good, load up times have improved no more double posting & it seems to be holding all my settings now aswell:D

i have just updated to bios 1253 but i still have the boot issue, when switching on ram led is solid and it stays like that untill a switch the pc off, but then boots fine 2 seconds later? this is very strange but seems a lot of people are having this

Remove power from the power supply for a minute or two, clear CMOS, then reattach power. Clear the CMOS again, startup, enter UEFI and input your required settings

So they released 1253 via a filesharing site, never put it on the main Asus site, never brought 1053 out of beta like they said they would, and now release 1204, which appears in the bios log but not the actual file list on their site?

What the hell?

(yes, I expect 1204 will be on the main site by the end of monday, but this completely unorthodox approach to releasing and then apparently rescinding updates is troubling)

I think 1253 was to sort the issues which were causing havoc.

Seems perfectly reasonable. Nice to see Asus sorting any issues out and not sitting on there ass's. If its anything like my last place, to put anything on the website it took a lot of paper work and getting the web devs to do it. So is probably easier to hand a BIOS fix out over file sharing.

Well I've had problems with the machine freezing on the splash screen after a reboot, and random crashes, I think that have been most prominent since the last BIOS update (Desktop fails with what looks like a graphics crash, causing reboot, chrome tabs randomly crashing as well as flash crashing inside chrome regularly).

I'll try this new bios and then a few of the recommendations they made later on, to see if it improves anything.

ill try this bios tomorrow and with Windows 7 sp1 due soon i might start again with a clean install.
