What's the cooling like on this board? Would you need to go full water cooling (nb/sb etc) if you wanted to pair it with a i7 980?

this is even more tempting now there is a price but its a shame to put anything less than a 980x on it hmmmm *ponders really upping ones budget*

Oh darn, I did preordered it, but now it seems my Antec P182 doesnt support EATX :(

I'll look for a new case.

Check my review, it fits fine in my mid tower Lian Li B25. Just check if you have an extra inch spare. It's not a proper eatx motherboard, just one inch wider.

I do have an extra inch, I measured that out before, I just dont have ful EATX support.

Think i need to read some more reviews before i commit.

Quick look at making a new video editing machine (but keeping the one I have already) makes for a £4k computer lol........

/cry I just know I will probably end up buying it and falling out with the wife again lol

How many are you likely to get on launch?? Do you think it will be pre orders only?

Ok, thanks for clearing that up :)

I have right around 3 cm / 1.25 inch extra space, which is enough width for 274 mm.

So I'll just have to be careful putting it in.

Yeah! I didn't realise how big it was until I starting installing it and wondered why it wouldn't go in as easily as my other board!

You can imagine I was pretty horrified but in the end it did fit after moving a few cables around :).

Tee hee, sneaky edit, I say 275 mm now, not 274 :p

Dont need a new case, phew.

Also I'll have to put my new DVD drive into the top slot to provide more clearance.
