It costs £350 - £400. I'd like one, but i'm not paying that much on a case ..... yet.

This case + Asus R3E = Excessive, Epic. awesome .... and completely broke :p.

But I'm completely happy with my P182.

Thanks mate your a star , ordered, Lian Li ARMORSUIT PC-P80, Ausus extreme 3 & 5870 Xfire looks sweet :)
Now i sold my skyline i can afford tech again lol that money would have gone in the petrol tank for the 10 miles to work :p

looks like a good board its a shame 90% of users wont use any of the features :(
It was the same when i had a R2E the only thing it gave me was an extra 200Mhz over the UD3/P6T-SE and my current Gene clocks just as high!! i never used the tweak features because they are pretty pointless, the voltage test points are a good feature but most of the rest is just gimmicks.
Does look nice though!!

The only board that has tempted me to get such an expensive mobo.

When I used to see previous ones, including the R2E, they would make me lol because something was always wrong with them.

Take lots of pictures when its all set up with that case, this board and 3 5870s o.O

I need to see that.

even though this is a great board i have no need to upgrade to it as the r2e is an excellent board and does a great job at running everything i throw at it,i have plenty of cash to buy this board but i think its not a huge leap over the r2e,i think i will wait for the r4e.

Re4:D that how far away, i doubt many ppl need to upgrade to it. Its just the itch and the need for a new toy, we all suffer from it:p

Don't think we'll see a RP4 until a new socket becomes available from Intel. The RPII has been out for quite some time now before the RPIII has appeared.

Most of us know unless there is a specific date or a new build is about to happen waiting for tec is poinless.....buy whats out and what you can afford. I have no reason at all to have ordered this board over my ud5 in honsty except Want! :p

probably true about the re4 coming on another socket, dont get me wrong i wont use this board to its full potential but will probably have it a year or two:rolleyes:

Same here. Now I'll have less reason to upgrade again until the R4E is released :)

Lets just hope that the slot design doesnt get changed, because I'm moving over to the 3 slot coolers and a soundcard with this board.

I sold off a bit more old stuff and have £360 saved up in paypal, and still have lots of VGA coolers and a couple of hard drives left to get rid off too, so that should all cover for the mobo and MK13s, then my recent PSU and new hard drive costs are covered by however much I get for the UD5, but that will get saved to go towards the I7 970 plus whatever my 920 gets once its released. I also found out I need to get my paypal verified as I no longer have any withdrawal limit left oops :p. And the 5770s get swapped out to 6770s once the next ATI range is released.

Then I can wait for the R4E and next socket because I doubt any other board will tempt me again after this one.

How does pre ordering work? Take money immediately or when shipped? Does an order come complete or when each part is available?

not sure when they would be sent but the money is taken when they come in to stock, sure pre-ordering is just a case of getting yourself in the queue for when the 1st lot of stock arrives.
