Asus ROG Swift PG32UQX - 32" 4K, 144Hz, HDR-1400, G-Sync, 1152 Mini-LED zones

According to the press release the Acer Predator X32 (their equivalent) gaming monitor will be available in North America in Q2, starting at a whopping USD $3,599; and in EMEA in Q2 starting at EUR 3,299. The latest AU Optronics panel information we had recently suggested that the 32″ IPS-type panel being used for this screen would not go in to mass production until Q2 2020 so the release of these screens could well slip until later in H2 I believe.

if its the same panel as they were using in their Proart screen which was meant to be out before xmas, I see there has been panel issues and that isnt coming to market until H2 now.

Wow insane monitor and FINALY about time for some new tech. But ouch that price. One have to be a millionar to get one of these. it's totaly crazy. But thanks to LG, we atleast have that C9 - OLED. I cant wait for the 48 incher to come this year. Bring it on and **** those new super expensive monitors. Just crazy :/

48" OLED will probably not be far off half the price of this... if you can make the size work, it's a no-brainer really, even with the potential burn-in risk. Over £3K for a PC monitor... seriously... the world's gone mad I tell ya!!

Do it. It’s what I got on Black Friday and playing Horizon Zero Dawn on my PS4 Pro looks gorgeous on it. Just imagine what PS5 are going to look like!

Tried my B7 on desktop last night and although it's absolutely fantastic in the image quality dept it's missing a little when it comes to motion etc due to 60hz, which 2.1 cards and a new 48CX should fix :)

I'll certainly be trying it again at the end of the year I think!

Yeah. I held off going OLED to wait for the tech to mature a bit, price to come down and for HDMI 2.1 and the B9 was a perfect fit :)

Best wait until next Black Friday and pick up a 48CX or BX, should hopefully be under £750 ;)

Don't count your chickens, the size could prove to be popular and not need to drop so much...
I ain't buying one this year anyways, maybe 2021 Black Friday. By then you will have Beta tested for me ;)

If no signs of burn in after everyone has been using it as a monitor for 12 months or more, I will see if I can make it fit on my desk. Wish they made a 40" version, would be perfect.

That wouldn't really make sense though... we know what OLED prices do historically, happens the same every year. So for the 48" to have an inflated high price would mean every model above it would too... and that just wouldn't make business sense. OLED production is increasingly significantly... this will bring prices down, not up.

48" is an odd size and the first screen released where they have managed to shrink the OLED down small enough to make a 48" screen. Therefore I expect it to be cost more than a 55" screen initially.

There's just no business sense in that, and it will make their entire product stack look very odd. I don't see it personally, but we'll find out soon enough.

The 48" will be produced using the same fabrication process as the main OLED models (8.5G). They are transitioning the high-end 65-75" models to top-emission this year (10.5G), which creates a surplus on the 8.5G node. This is why we finally get a 48" and as such it will almost certainly be priced below the 55".

Thought the 48" had to be smaller OLED hence can't be made on the same production line as any of the other screens?
