Asus ROG X570 Crosshair Dark Hero Release? *** NO Competitor Talk ***

I finally found a site that have stock (assuming it’s not an error on the website)
Order placed (can’t keep waiting for OCUK when they’re not giving any info)
Now I have to wait and see if I get a shipping confirmation

Any chance of an availability update, we all seen your recent video and know that you already have the DARK HERO ;)

You might help stop the people here from being BANNED mentioning competitors names :D
 
it's a bit daft considering they haven't even got any to sell - I could understand it if we were saying "Hey you can get it cheaper at x" ..

But they don't even have any stock, no idea of when the stock will arrive, or even IF it will arrive..

it's very much dog-in-a-manger kind of behaviour going on :/ .. Not what I was hoping ... & bad form sadly..
 
It's not stupid at all, OCUK pay a lot of money to run these forums so they're not going to allow promotion of their competitors now are they!

If you don't like the rules, then go elsewhere, you're not chained down!

Any more breaches will get suspended, up til now it's just been posts deleted, so hardly unfair, but you've been warned!

Ultimately, OCUK forum so they can do what they want.

It would be nice if @8 Pack who already posted on this thread or any other OCUK staff or Moderator, work together to try and provide updates. Most of the top tech forums do this for their paying customers.

Even if the update is (We Don't Have Any Information Right Now, But Working On It)

Just an suggestion :cool:

I do understand that - you have a business to run.. But with the greatest respect, we're not actually posting links that are directly competing, as we've asked multiple times when stock would be available & have no idea if even OCUK will be stocking this particular piece of kit.. All we've seen in response is posts being deleted.. no updates from staff/mods about any kind of availability. I'd much rather shop with a trusted retailer than third party sites, but when there's no update it does make things rather tricky to ascertain credible competition..

Happy to go elsewhere - though I'd respectfully suggest that given some of us (myself) are first time customers at OCUK, such warnings aren't necessarily conducive to the warm and fuzzy feeling of repeat business & trusted suppliers.. Personally I've spent literally tens of thousands on hardware over the years (old man here lol), as well as ordering millions in hardware whilst working in the fintech sector for rather large unwieldy beasts in banking & finance lol.. speaking just for myself, openness on supply chain availability and a friendly attitude go a long long way

Just something to consider buddy.

What the shop do or don't do is up to them, the mods aren't shop employees.

Regardless of what is announced or not, the rules are there for everyone, to which everyone agreed to when signing up to the forum, so no excuses ;)

Any news on the Dark Hero arrival date ? I'm building 2 new gaming rigs with a budget of 5K per rig and this is a critical element for both builds. (It doesn't help that I can't get a 3090 or 5900X either, but that's another story!). At this rate, scalpers are starting to look attractive, as at least they have stock !
 
Mine has finally arrived, just waiting for the 5900x which should be here tomorrow (or Wed). Good luck with your hunt, these are even more rarer to obtain than the GPUs at the moment

I got my DPD (In transit) notification today so will also have this Dark Beauty by the end of this week.

Sorry for my OCD but they could have put them stickers at the back of the box :D
 
Yeah, the box isn't in the "best" quality on the edges but contents are perfect. Stickers can be peeled off without causing damage at least.
 
Due to competitor putting up pre orders for dark hero, i've put my order in with them, no saying that O/C won't get stock before them and if so i can always buy from O/C and then cancel pre-order, but with no pre-order on O/C i've taken the chance. Shame for O/C as I've had my 3080 and 5900x pre orders with O/C as well as many other products
 
Greetings, is it really true you need to flash the bios for the dark hero if you combine it with a 5000 series cpu? That was one of the reasons i wanted it hehe, im still a layman and im hearing lots of hassles going on when doing a bios flash..might as well just go for the hero. I’ve completed the hunt for my 5900x ( and other elusive electronics like the ps5) but maybe i shouldnt bother with this one.
