Asus RX480 Dual problems

I'm pleased to say that making a clean installation of Windows via USB to the latest version has cleared up my issues.

/Edit/ but now it has started to crash again! What on earth is the issue!?

It's just a bad batch of cards I think. Low binned chips that don't run at the advertised clock speeds yet somehow made it through quality control.

To update this thread, I wasn't pleased with the card so sent it back.

I ordered another card from OcUK; an ASUS Strix RX 480 to take its place when it was on offer. It was significantly more expensive, but feels to be a much better quality product.

just had to RMA my Sapphire Nitro+ 480 as well after 9 months of no issues at all, just stopped posting out of the blue. Normally I would have a back up graphics card but I sold that one so SOL and have to wait until either my RMA from Sapphire returns or my new Nvidia card turns up.

Sucks being without a graphics card...getting behind on my Steel Division Normany 44 Beta practice ;) Have had to resort to actually reading a book over the Easter break. Going to go for the ASUS Strix series next time around - seems much greater quality control on those cards...

Well for people that have read through this thread, the ASUS Strix RX 480 is stable, quiet and because of its enormous cooler, also runs relatively cool. It is a far, far superior product to the ASUS Dual RX 480 with which I had nothing but problems when playing Player Unknown's Battlegrounds.

I've downclocked mine to 1255MHz which is near the 'stock' boost frequency for an RX480 and seems to have solved the crashing issues. I can live with it for the £180 I paid but I'm not too impressed. Options seem to be RMA and pay more for a better card or make peace with fact that this one is not capable of running at 1300MHz.

I bought a ready built PC last week with the Asus dual but it was crashing with grey screen in games and it was sooooo damn loud!

Rmaing the PC now. Frustrating because for the one minute it would stay on it performed OK.

I'd bought the PC cos I figured I would sell the rx480 on at a good price but these Asus ones don't fetch much compared to rest and it's clearly duff.
