ohh god this is an old thread,it was off fleabay the spare socket 1155 socket from china a I think

I only found one place who were wiling to solder it on and I think they went into liquidation as I couldn't contact them again

luckily the board worked fine and still going strong currently at 4.8ghz

EDIT: I do think its such a waste of a board when manufacturers wont fix a broken cpu socket

Cheers had one quote for £89, they seemed to know their stuff also. I just wish that in the future that sockets are modular, so damaged sockets can be easily swapped out.
