That's relatively normal for the Apex boards. It's another lottery whether or not it will come bent. Most have no issues, just be careful if using a contact frame.

The socket area is fine its just below the nvme heatsink it stars to bend,i wont be fitting the contact frame.

Dont matter as ive had a look in the cpu socket and there are a lot of bent pins in there,i dont even have a cpu yet this is disgusting for a new board to be sent out like this.

Seal was cut, the main reason I looked at it was your thread talking about some of these boards where bent so I took a look, it's bent on the other side as well, and checked the board all over then looked at the cpu socket and almost had a heart attack at the state of it, just waiting to see what they say but I bet they will blame me, like I've said there was no need for me to look at the board when it arrived as I'm ordering the cpu next week, I payed with PayPal so if I get no luck with the shop not ocuk BTW I'll start a dispute.

How bad was it?

This is the other side of the motherboard
CPU socket.

Ready packed up for rma now, just wish I had looked at it when it came, I just stored it as I don't have a cpu yet, even if the socket was OK I would still send it back as the bends are very bad in all my years I've never had a board arrive like this.

Are you getting a refund or are they replacing it? That looks pretty bad. I thought at first it might have just been isolated to a batch in the US.

Replacement I hope but I don't see them doing this as we all know how some shops work, but it was payed by PayPal so I'll go this way if I don't get this sorted.

I'll see what they say first, I would like a replacement as I've got some nice gskill 6800hz to go with it.

My board came slightly bent but the pins were fine. As i understand it, these boards dont come in an antistatic bag but the box is sealed with an asus sticker. Ive read some people get them without the socket cover too.

Shocking that they could send it in such condition. And how is it OK for such a high end board to be bent from factory like that?
