Asus z790 apex motherboard bent.

Zero problems here with the apex. Pushing my cheap teamgroup 5600@7400 tm5 stable. Never got it past 6600 on the z690 aorus tachyon with the same cpu.

Little update the shop offered to send the board back to asus for repair also saying they may not do so,they also said there was signs of the board being mounted also cpu showing signs of wear,plus they found corrosion on the back of the board im shocked,these are their rma dept pictures

I assume they're blaming you for all of this?
 
Yes they are how nice of them, I've been told that not burn marks it's left over flux at the factory,I bet if I did have a cpu and installed that board it would have blown my whole system.
 
When is the replacement due? It will be interesting to see whether it's bent or not!

It's terrible for this to happen in the first place but this is the kind of thing I see can happen when getting stuff from the rain forest.
 
Replacement was sent out Monday got it next day, board looks good a little bend but nothing to worry about, also got £50 off a cpu when I buy one, looking to get the 13600kf as I game don't think I'll need the 13700kf.

I got top spot for 3060ti and 4080 on 3dmark timespy with the apex and a 13700k :)

One of my cores boosted to 6.1ghz :)

Nice one. As you've got fthe Apex I'd probably opt for the 13700kf as I've seen some games have better frame rates due to those 2 extra P cores.

Get the k chip you mite need the igpu to diagnose any further problems ;)
