It looks like the eagerly 'proper' iOS 6 untethered jailbreak is coming out very soon, Sunday to be more precise! lol

Seems like a age we have waited for this to come out . . .

With each new release of an iPhone, jailbreaking becomes just one step more difficult. Throw in constant OS updates and it’s amazing the hacker community is able to jailbreak it at all. So it’s no surprise it has taken more than four months for an official jailbreak to be released for the iPhone 5.

On Sunday, that may change. A group of ‘jailbreakers’ known as the Evad3rs are planning on releasing their jailbreak tool: Evasi0n. The website, which claims the team is “Processing the GUI” has a very clean and simple layout. If all goes planned, and Evasi0n is released on Sunday, it very well may be the easiest jailbreak tool since JailBreakMe.

Evasi0n is an iOS 6.1 jailbreak which is said to support the iPhone 5, 4S, 4, 3GS, iPod Touch 4th generation and 5th generation and both the iPad Mini and iPad 3rd & 4th generation. Oh and it is legal after all.

Wow,

I've just upgraded to iOS 6.1 and on my 4S it feels lightning fast, really glad I updated.

It's given my 4S a new lease of life!

Well worth the upgrade, it's like having a brand new phone again (for the 4S anyway)

Cydia is being hammered hard as expected Finding it difficult to download even my first tweak

It's definitely getting a hard time at the moment, just tried installing SBSettings and it gave up half way through with a host unreachable error!

I've just upgraded to IOS 6 but for the life of me I cannot remember a Cydia app that I used.

I used to double click on the home button and it would show 2 rows of apps that where currently running. I could swipe to the left and it would give short cuts for volume and brightness, the most important button though was one that closed all running apps.

Anyone remember the name?

Ayecon is a very beaitiful and clean theme. you can get it in the xsellize repo !

Works well on the iPhone 5 in the video i saw of it running the theme on youtube.

I was using this one before the jailbreak and forgot what it was called, thanks for reminding me!

It's a nice theme and subtle with some lovely detail.

Just updated my 4S to 6.1.1 and rejailbroken no problem at all.

Much easier now cydia is working better and queued up all my cydia apps with one big download.

Hi, Just a heads up.
They have updated lockinfo to include consolidate items now. Although its far from customisable on v5.

Lockinfo is still saying its not compatible with iOS6?

Are you sourcing a free copy? Lockinfo has been iOS6 compatible since evaders jailbroke it.

A really useful tweek I am loving at the moment (and its free) is swipeselection. I think it's something that should be part of ios as standard.

I had to uninstall Ayecon and Winterboard on my 4S. It made my phone run incredibly slow and unstable. As soon as they were removed I got my old performance and stability back.

That's really odd, I've been running Ayecon on my 4S with 6.1.2 and it has been flawless.

What's your battery life like with all them installed? I have about 5 Cydia apps and I must say the battery life is atrocious.

To be honest it's not that bad, I get a good days worth of battery although I don't game on my phone really, just normal stuff.

With battsaver enabled it will last days!

I downloaded battsaver, seems interesting. What settings do you have it on? I don't want to miss out on whatsapp messages, texts etc

It has a setting 'iMessage friendly' which should suit your needs.
