I always hold open a door if there is anybody behind me. One time I held open a door for a couple of women, as you would. When they approached, one of them said "Who the **** do you think you are holding a door open because we are women. We don;t need your help and reinforcement of the female stereotype....etc" I was too gobsmacked to slam the door in her face.
