ATCS Log.

Who did the cut? - I think we need to know so we can avoid him.

I can't believe that you let him charge you to completely mess up the cut, then you're actually considering using him again, even at a discount?

Sorry dude, but that's how bad workmen stay in business.

I appreciate that it's very difficult to get another side panel, but I'd have sued in small claims to get him to pay for a new/2nd hand case if he'd taken my money and made a basic error like that. Measure twice, cut once used to be the mantra. Unless you supplied the wrong dimensions of course?

laser_4_you, is the name. I do not have the time nor the energy to sue anybody over a hole cut out.

YES i am very ******d off he got it wrong, but hey nobody died.

I supplied a scaled drawing, and also wrote on the drawing hole to be `120mm`, the mistake was all his!

Looks great even if it was cut wrong. Probably looks much better i would say!!

Well, we can't see what was intended to judge. I do agree that the best has been made of a bad job, but if I'd sourced a seriously rare case and someone has beggared it up, at the very least I wouldn't be paying for it.

Oki doki, i decided to spray the aluminium ring black, then recovered with aluminium mesh, ive stuck it on the inside of the case added black honeycomb mesh as fan gaurd + chrome fan......Im really pleased with the result!

Some money shots :)

It is a shame about the 120mm hole being oversized, but you've improvised very well. Is this the final mock up or you going to do some other things to dazzle us all with? :)

Yes a real shame, im pleased with it too :)

Thats no mock up, its bolted into place ;)

yeah great thanks, will look through my box'o'bits :)

is it me or is the fan not level? looks a bit out imo... (ie, fan screws)

It does look good, and given the mistake its an excellent recovery, but it's a shame you have to have the screws showing.

PK!

Decided to re-do the side panel, did not like the bolts sticking out, so i glued (with 'alradite') the whole lot to the inside of the side panel.

panel needs a good clean, but looks better without the bolts.

Also postman arrived yesterday with the rest of my watercooling kit....

Measured and cut the loop and leaked tested overnight.

Using a DTEK pump, 120 stealth rad, EK clear top , XSPC 5.25" res, also got a nice Silverstone fanbus. This needed to be a flat fronted bus, because the door shuts pretty flush.

I have an original coolermaster aluminium cd front plate to cover the rom.

Hi

Finished my ATCS110 at the weekend, really pleased with the build.

I have 2 side panels, the blank one i had lasered, and an original coolermaster windowed panel.

Can you spot the discussed IDE cable?

Going to upgrade the gfx at some point and install a second loop for that, and possibly the nb/sb. Same deal, pump, 5.25" res bay, and a dual 80mm rad that ive seen attached to the front twin 80mm fans.
