Think he did, he has a little look as he stands up

They'll always look back to see where the mark is, and it's normal for your hands to touch the sand, just normally, if you did it right, beyond where your feet make a mark.

Commentator though, he said he thought he saw the hand on the first replay which was pretty obvious, then the front angle which showed the hand go down absolutely ridiculously clearly... he said he didn't see anything.

Essentially a rookie mistake, I mean if you jump anything but gold it doesn't matter too much but if you jumped beyond gold then don't keep your hands up... that will be hard to get over.

Still dont trust why they blocked his third jump , the still photo looks as though he was completely clear of the plasticine, but they didnt even measure just in case

he just said they gave it to him now - but because he didn't contest it it was not measured.

strange one.

He appeared to have conceded the jump when he walked over to check the mark?

Fantastic silver for Jess Ennis. I wanted a gold but I knew beforehand it would be very hard.

On a side note - my god! - the number of stunning women in that race! -

Thiam got a truckload of PBs so she totally deserved that. Hard luck Jess. :(

to be fair a 21 year old doesnt really have PB's as they are constantly changing / getting better, just a pity Jess was up against a youngster post pregnancy

What is there to say about Mo? Just one word, incredible!

Gets tripped, kicked into the head , gets back up and cool as a cucumber goes on to win the race. Immense

It was pretty close at the end but Mo had it under control, absolute class act.
