Athletics

Mo in his post race interview quite emotional, saying he trained 120 miles a week and when he fell how it could all have gone, all that training for nothing. Makes you think, eh.

I wonder, had Greg's so called 'foul jump' been measured, where he would have finished?

Impossible to say , if the jump is valid it looked as though it would have put pressure back on other jumpers rather than more pressure back on Rutherford because of the "fouled" jump imo more important than the actual length of the jump (which could well have been surpassed in subsequent jumps)

Incredible by Mo Farah again, his competitors must wonder what they have to do to stop him.

Well done to Jess Ennis-Hill, she did brilliantly again but was perhaps unfortunate to come up against someone who appears to be a rising star in the heptathlon at just the wrong time. I hope that's not the last we see of her in competition and I also hope that Katarina Johnson-Thompson can sort out the gremlins so that she fulfills her undeniable talent in the future.

It's a pity that Greg Rutherford couldn't defend his Olympic title but it's still a highly creditable bronze.

That Greg Rutherford interview should be played in all primary and secondary schools for years to come. An Olympic bronze is an amazing achievement but Rutherford wanted the gold because he's a winner. That's what school children need to be taught rather than this everyone's a winner BS

Would you like to say to the many other GB athletes happy with their bronze/silver medals?

Rutherford is the current world champion and former reigning Olympic gold medalist. Of course he was unhappy with bronze.

No because a lot of our athletes didn't have a chance of gold so a silver or bronze will have been the best that could manage. Rutherford had the chance, didn't produce on the day and was gutted.

So why do you want kids to be disappointed with anything other than first place.

I've been ready for the Bolt all day. :D

Oh yeah, Athletics. With the Murray match on, I totally forget about this stuff. Dunno if I have the energy to stay up though. Especially since I'm working tomorrow
