Sweet... I've got a 3200XP, NF7S2 and a 9800Pro sat under my desk doing nothing. Might have to sell them and rake in a small fortune
The thing with the socket A cpu's can be explained with the classic cycle:
Everyone was on Socket A. Then 64bit was introduced. Socket A sales drop, and finally they stop producing them. For a while now it is all about 64bit.
However, a lot of people with limited funds will upgrade eventually. And they cannot afford swapping most of their system. So they want the best Socket A available. Hence demand is back, however availability is very limited.
In a capital market this equals mental prices
My Socket A history:
Athlon 900: bought new january 01, killed after two years by Parcel Force!
Athlon XP2200+: bought new february 03 for £45, sold july 04 for £45 inc MSI cheap mobo 1 year later.
Athlon XP2800+: bought used for £50 april 04, sold 13 months later for £80 (LOL)
Athlon XPM2500+ IQYHAA bought used from Concorde Rules a year ago in the MM for £55 inc SP90 HS. (hit 2.7ghz on air) Sold a two months ago together with my NF7S Rev2 for £150 (ROOOFL)
All of you with good clocking s939 would be wise in keeping them for the next cycle
