guessin the powercolor 5850s wont be shipping till monday as well? oh well its only a few more days wait

same here, i was going to get a 5870 but for a £100 more couldnt see the point, at least it would have came earlier though

Bought the MSI X800 XT Platinum Edition on day of release in 2004 I doubt their was 10 people in the UK for at least 2 weeks with any of that type of card terrible slow slow yields.

Bought the HIS Radeon X1900XTX ICEQ3 day that was released too, bought an 8800GTX but not for at least 2-3 months later, bought the GTX295 on day of release ended up selling it for £250 not long ago.

Not too fussed now as my current card handles any game I can play, so can relax nicely on anticipation of the 5870 Vapor-X. :)

And Vapor-X isn't all it's cracked up to be, I returned 2 Vapor-X 4980's because they were hitting 107c in Crossfire. For a card with a picture of a Penguin sitting on an ice sheet on the box, 107c is laughable. And the fans weren't exactly quiet either.

We had a delivery from XFX today but unfortunately it was only 5 pcs. The rest are still expected today if not today then tomorrow. We sold over 36 units in the minutes that they were available to order.

Any chance you could 100% ship my card with all other parts tommorrow (order number: OC884375) :)

I ordered £1436 worth of stuff at 7:40am and then got a little angry and cancelled the order when I heard about this. You still have the money, so could you send the complete order tomorrow if you're getting the XFX's and cancel the cancellation? ;)
 
same here i have a shopping list of over £1000 to spend at ocuk and so does my m8,we both building new pcs,but this has really put me off and would rather pay a little bit more for better service

I think if you want to modify your orders, the best thing to do is phone them or use the customer service thread, or maybe send one of the staff a pm

I have never used it before is it worth it?
 
i would have preffered they diudnt update the site this morning with the new cards, not until they had actual stock, i mean no 5850's in stock at all yet there were 10+ for the powercolor ones this morning.

i understand the need to get them up fast due to the demand, but a bit more care from overclockers should have been a priority, theres a lot of people including myself having to wait until next tuesday to get there cards. the only good thing so far is overclockers let me change from powercolor to sapphire brand, it makes no difference though as i still have to wait.

it turned into a massacre this morning/afternoon and it could have been avoided to be fare.
 
If you need help with orders guys you're better to post it in the 'Customer Service' section. Posting here is just going to fill the thread with requests and **** off the Mods ;)
 
lol i went into customer pre order querys and it took 5 days for them to reply and i,m not posting to make a order i was just saying what i was reading does not do much for confidence.

It's a good suggestion IMO. I appear to have been one of the lucky ones (ordered at 8.30am, shipped at 10.00am) but I can perfectly understand the frustration for some of you guys as I've been there before. Nothing worse than trying to buy something that isn't there to be bought.
 
what puzzels me is this.now having worked in a warehouse when you get deliverys in you get a delivery sheet which states what you have in the boxes ie say 40 ati 5870 20 ati 5850 so on, so they open the box count them and sign it off,now after that you enter the stock into the stock locator and then update website,but from what i have heard they just asumemd they had x amount of these cards and posted on the website saying they had,plus also if this was a web error,they must have know before cos for the last 2 days they was posting smiles hinting they had them surley they know what stock they have in..lol

its the 1 gb version, i doubt we'll see a 2gb anytime soon >.<
 
I cannot believe the card is just a bit longer than a 4870X2, that card was completely mammoth and for it to be an inch or so longer is insane!
