From a competitor who said they had stock in when they did

I think you'll find we had stock and many people will be able to confirm this who have had shipping confirmations. You're welcome to e-mail Sapphire who will also confirm we had stock today and also confirm the 270pcs we have arriving on Monday too.
 
We know you had stock, but it doesnt help those that ordered when stock was available at 8am, then rang to ask if you had allocated a card to the order number and was told you had, then to find out you didnt after all stinks IMO. Then have to wait 5 days for a refund so i cant even go elsewhere if i want to.

We do the refund straight away it can take 3 - 5 working days for the refund to show on your account.
 
just got a email from overclockers, they swapped the powercolor version for the sapphire, which i hear is better :)

ps, anyone a bit annoyed (like me) having to wait until tuesday for the 5850 shouldnt be too downbeat as i heard other competitors are selling the cards at least £50 more, will just have to wait and more then likely put up with the people getting their 5870's gloat

I am not doubting you had stock at all, I knew you had stock way before the cards were even on the site and were still under NDA ;)

What I am dubious of is these stock "mistakes" that seem to happen time and time again, it happened with the MSI Promo deal it's happened in the past and it's happened now, this is peoples hard earnt and it just annoys me to the core to see people without cash for up to 5 days and no product to show.

If these mistakes are happening time and time again have you not considered updating the stock system?

I don't really want to get involved in this debate, especially since I have no intention of buying one of these cards in the next couple of weeks, but still... It would be very much appreciated throughout the community if OcUK could invest in a real-time stock indicator, like many of their competitors have.

In this way, customers would always know whether there was actually stock available or not. Also, it would give the customer some information about whether it's worth ordering right away, or whether they can get away with waiting a bit. it's all about consumer confidence really.

I have to say, in the past when I have been trying to order "hot" items, I've paid a little more and gone to a competitor so I could be sure I would actually be allocated stock. Once burned twice shy and all that.

Anyway, just a suggestion.
 
We have plenty of Sapphire scheduled for arrival on Monday. Yes we do have a back order system.

I'm off Monday so I could drive down and pick up. What are the chances of getting a card over the counter ?

The delivery is schedule before lunch. You are more than welcome to collect call me first and I will ensure that you get one.
 
Cards are now shipping out the warehouse, first batch of orders have just gone. :)

Thats interesting, the cards were available at 7 am, I placed my order at 7:12 am and it still hasn't shipped. Considering it takes two days to reach me here in Ireland, you guys aren't going to meet my delivery date. Again. For the 4th time. Thanks :/
 
Poor service. Ordered my Sapphire 5870 at 09:38hrs, at the time shown 10+ in stock.
Order was "being processed in warehouse" for 5hrs before I called them up. Only to find...suprise suprise. No stock left.

Well now some other company has had my custom and at the same time I saved myself £1 pound and it will be with me tomorrow.

its pants because i ordered my 5850 at 8.30 or something this morning when it said 10+ in stock, to find out no, not until monday :(
