Yes i got it from OCUK, but from what i noticed the asus cards went up £10 or so later in the day.

I sure don't have my 5870, I'm just as shafted as you. This 100% chance of the XFX 5870's shipping today sure isn't happening. I even said that Fatboy shouldn't be banding around statements like 100% chance if he wasn't sure and he pretty much guaranteed they would go out today, another lie from OcUK it seems.
When this order is finally sorted I'm done ordering from here.
Yeah I should probably cooldown but I'm more than a bit annoyed by all this, not exactly happy to have my card charged for £300 and have nothing to show for it, especially when other brand 5870's are shipping, I'd ask again to be swapped to one in stock but that would probably get ignored again like the first time I asked so no point.

The 5850 needs 2 6 pin power connectors right? Also is the 5850 smaller than the 5870?

To most of the customers, it did say pre-order, and we were all aware stock was going to be scarce.
And regardless of price, **** happens that will be out of control for ocuk.

I am well ****ed off, still no XFX cards on the way despite your b.s guarantee that 100% they would ship today. OcUK is a ****ing joke, this is the 4th time in a month that you morons have made a monkeys of something I ordered and made me wait for days while you scramble to pick up the pieces. I am disgusted. Get your ****ing shop in order and learn to ****ing count properly please. At least that way you won't inconvenience your customers through sheer stupidity and incompetence.

Maybe it could have been accurate from the beginning instead of listing stock they didn't actually have? If it had, I would have ordered Sapphire instead and wouldn't be left with empty promises and magic beans now would I?
