Does that include the ram timings?

i must admit i'm a bit out of the loop nowadays. but on my old nvidia card there was a util called nibitor which did that. just had a quick google for an ati equivalent and i couldn't find anything..... o

Already done :p :D. J/K.

That sounds like a plan, should such a program exist but I'm not that much of a modder with such expensive hardware. I'd rather suffer the CCC than do something so 'extreme'. Nice idea though.

Oh well, my new 2GB RAM will come in handy running CCC, pity games will be no different from 1GB as a result .

why not dump your bios, edit it to your overclocked speeds and flash it back. that's what i've always done. i hate using software to overclock.... :p

what do you use to edit your bios?

see above. i can't find anything for newer ati cards... :o

when i had a 6800gt, i used this....

nibitor

according to the page it works with 7series cards too. i only ever messed with clock speeds that were vigorously tested before hand with ati tool to detect artifacts. i never messed with timings or voltages. i also had backup pci card to reflash the old bios back just incase.... :p

before that i also edited the bios for my old 9800 but the software for that is very old and won't work with anything about nowadays. :D

The bios editor for ATI is called RaBiT. Its not found on this artical :
http://forums.techpowerup.com/showthread.php?t=11
but where it is found u will find it nearby in a similar artical (and u will need to read that artical anyhow).

The other way to overclock is by using some tool called simply "overclocker", it was being used on xxtremeforums when it was found ATItool and ATItraytools didnt work early on when x1800 was released.

Im using cats plus ati tray tools and ati tool beta 14 to overclock my x1900xtx. Ive disabled ati hotkey poller in services so when using ati tool im overclocking the 2d speeds.

I would use the cp but after getting the x1900 ive become fond of adaptive aa, couldnt find an option for it in the cp :( In ati tray tools the option for adaptive aa is greyed out so ive gotta install drivers with ccc, select adaptive aa, uninstall ccc and then use ati tray tool. The option is still grey out be atleast it ticked now.

Anyone know why i the option for adaptive aa is greyed out in tray tools??

Edit- Got it sorted now so no longer will ccc have the pleasure of gracing my hdd :D

Just noticed i cant use em coz im on crossfire, cant find the enable cf option.

CCC is annoying me also, The category called "Moniter Properties 0" where i could change hue/saturation for my games in avivo color has dissappeared off my list :/ But if i remove a gfx card and just run on the one the option reappears :/ weird!!

I installed the fire mv one now i have two unknown devices in my Device manager which are something to do with my grahics card !
