id buy this in a second if they are under £250.
but remember, the 7950gx2 was two mobile 7950s, so are these going to be the desktop varients?
You sure? Last i read the 7950 was 2 downclocked 7900gt cores.![]()
Under 200 tom you gotta be having a laugh this will be the fastest card on the market as from reviews i have seen 3850 crossfire beats a gtx in most things never mind 3870's on the same board which should be faster than crossfire 3870s which will beat any single card on the market when working properly.
It has to be udner £250 or its not worth it, I rekon an 8800Ultra/GTX can beat 3870 crossfire when AA is applied.
I think you'd need a lot of AA though, the second core is going to offset a fair portion of the performance hit IMO.![]()
I reckon r700 will compete easily with the 9800s
Thats what they thought about the R600 Vs 8800's![]()
Ati slipped this year as nvidia did with 5 series i expect better from r700 as they need to bounce back. People seem to forget the great cards they have been making since the 9700 was released and also now that they joined with amd they will have more experience in lower manufacturing process's as cpu's are lower atm than gpu's if the 2 companies can get it right we may be in for a great partnership.
I remember the great cards they were making, I had one, but It wont surprise me if they mess up again with the R700.
