ATi Tool 0.27 BETA2 for R600 Released!

Just installed it on Vista 32bit, pretty amazing. Tried the fan on 100% for a joke and it scared the living daylights out of me, I was not expecting that. :( :p

but it does more a serious amount of air.

For some bloody reason the voltages dont seem to be sticking to the individual profiles im making which is causing a world of greif, so im going to leave the ocing for now its just too risky when the voltages arnt setting properly

On a plus note, my idle core temp is now 39ºc, although if I want to use it like this ATi should include ear defenders.

No but I will do, I cant even seem to set my own fan profiles without the values defaulting to there stock state

That sucks, sorry to hear that :( Do you think that there is a decent performance increase in OC'ing a 2900xt?

There must be somthing im missing here something i need to disable as, something is over riding whatever I set in ATi tool

Only in 3d mark atm, Im trying to make a low voltage low clocked 2d profile but the voltages just arnt sticking and loading up when i want them to :(

I can't set fan speed without effecting clocking, or vice-versa.

If I set the fan to 100%, then go set the clocks to 820/1000 (known stable), the fan slows down

If I set the clocks, then go set the fan speed, the clocks change, but not always to default :confused:x2

What about voltages are you able to make a 2d profile?, the volts just dont seem to stick at all :( , gutted really.

this is the issue and it looks like im not the only one experiencing it

Can you guys use the voltage regulators with this release? I'm sure W1zzards review of the HD2900 pointed out they used a different brand voltage regulator so might have had to re-code the use of them.

That was one feature I loved about my X1900XT.

Can you underclock it?

I know this is a weird Question, but my m8 has one and says that every game he has runs very quick (his newest is HL-2), but its quite loud.

He is wondering, that if he underlocks it, will it reduce the amount of stress on the fan, but maintain the temprature, because just making the fan speed lower, wouldmake the GPU hotter.

Not really an "issue" as such, but the hardware monitoring seems to be incorrect:

Note min/max figures for temperature :p
