Atomfall

This feels like a mod to Desthloop crossed with control it’s ok so far but does feel dated. Runs ok on my laptop though.

Free on Gamepass. Gave it a download. Game is ugly as hell with zero anti aliasing just like their other games.

I swear these developers are just trolling us at this point. Do they not realise their games are decent, they just need to add basic graphical effects/options. Ridiculous and frustrating.

Reviews I've seen make it look pretty nice, nothing amazing but decent enough (?!)

Can't justify £50 for it but £30 as a Steam key is tempting me, I fancy a British Fallout seeing as I never got Fallout: London to work

Dont go into it expecting fallout, its really nothing like fallout at all, truth be told I really just do not even understand why some places keep saying its like fallout, theres almost nothing game mechanics wise in common with fallout.

You get these dumb comparisons everywhere. People latch on to one thing a game shares in common with another and that's enough to compare apparently.

It's on Game Pass too. If you don't have it you might get an offer of £1 for 14 days

I picked it up and am installing now. As for it (not) being like Fallout, I can deal with that as it does look kinda interesting regardless.

I like it and think it's a really good looking game.

The exploration is fun and the verdant greenery with decrepid buildings reminds me of a really old 3D Mark, ha.

Combat isn't the best but that may be a design choice, voice acting is also a little hammy.

I have had to resort to PC as XSX kept running into 'no audio' bug but that's the benefit of play anywhere, just use whatever you want.

I installed it on the day it released and played a good few hours. I haven't been back to it yet. It's not bad just nothing is really dragging me back in.

I decided to remod SkyrimVR instead and start that again. That game has given me so many hours entertainment!

I had a quick play last night and wasnt overly impressed tbh.
A fist fight was ok, but moving to a knife fight wasnt.
I like the scenery and would have to play a bit more to see if it grabs me but not sure if I want to.

I'm taking an hiatus from KCD2 and the British setting of this appealed to me. I've gamepass for my son's Xbox so thought i'd give it a try.

Got to say, i'm loving the exploration and story/game world, every corner you turn something new is turning up. It looks nice enough to me, it doesn't look ugly in the slightest.

Gameplay > Graphics. Also maybe a little patience and not expecting everything to be handed to you.

Edit. It's a cliche in this dystopian nonsense world we inhabit, but a lot of care and attention has obviously gone into this game. I'd rather that than better ambient occulsion, whatever the hell that is.
