##Atomic Heart thread##

Normally with a game like this I’d probably do a couple of runs through the game but there’s something about it that’s not clicking with me.

Could be the frequent sticky surroundings and having to reload saves but I think I might just use Wemod and just play this once and cheat a little bit with resources.

It’s pretty tough on normal I’ve found, although I’m still pretty early on in the game.

If you are struggling for parts I would go with the energy pistol, shotgun and a heavy weapon like the rocket launcher and just disassemble all the other ammo you get for parts.

Struggling more for ammo TBH. I have two melee weapons, a pistol with 6 rounds, Electro, which I just unlocked, and the shotgun. Ammo levels are low whenever I’m in combat, then spend 10 mins looting everything looking for more ammo and parts.

I found the robots are pretty tough early on. A few times they’ve appeared from nowhere, I’ve backed into some scenery, got stuck, then been killed in seconds.

The game does look very good on the whole but it’s definitely a bit janky too. Already got stuck on the scenery at least a dozen times!

Been playing this on both Xbox Series X and on my gaming laptop. I'm finding it tough on normal, the progression available via resources through the different skills trees seems to be very slow as resources are not exactly sat about everywhere in abundance. To that end, has anyone got any tips for resource farming as such? The lack of ammo can sometimes be an issue and again, unlike a lot of games, you seem to be stuck with pretty puny weapons to begin with but then for a considerable amount of time progressing through the game you are stuck at that level, weapons wise.

I'm at a part in the Theatre section where I need to destroy a Belyash. It's proving to be virtually impossible to do so, as my weapons and skills are not at a high enough level. I think I need to go back a few steps and do a bit more roaming and levelling up before trying to progress through the storyline any further.

One of the best perks to have, especially against this chap, is the double dodge thing? You don't take damage when doing so which means you can pop in and out of landing melee attacks really effectively. And when he starts with the fire **** just make sure to jump, he's not exactly speedy but can close you into a corner if your not careful. Just keep moving.

I played this on gamepass and quite enjoyed it. Initially there was an immensely frustrating prevalence of getting stuck on scenery - but there was a patch a few days after I started which seemed to solve that.
Overall, quite enjoyed it. I did find myself going into (and locked into) the 'final' bit of the storyline before I had got around to doing all the testing grounds - but was able to complete them afterwards. Did mean I hadn't made any attempt to finalise my loadout, but thankfully what I had settled on at that point worked fine. As per usual on games like this, I held back the big hitters 'for later', and then never got around to using them!

So it was fun enough - but pleased I didn't pay for it!
