##Atomic Heart thread##

Looking forward to this, getting gamepass is one of the best upgrades I've ever done, I'm currently playing through deathloop and I've not tried out battlefield2042 yet or the new monster Hunter. All thanks to game pass

Translation: prepare for price hike.

IIRC i got 3 years gold membership cheap from somewhere like cdkeys and then did the £1 upgrade trick. I still have just over 2 years left. I think the total cost was around £70 for 3 years ultimate membership which is about the price of 1 AAA game these days LOL

I have been getting the £1 trials each month for you yonks so can't complain haha.

I was not sure if it would let me add another month like that so just went for a two month one. I got to try out some games which I was not sure I would like much and as it turned out there was a reason I did not buy them haha. Only got two games from like 7 I installed left that I actually will play. Obviously got Atomic Heart and We Long coming, after that nothing of interest will remain.

Starfield may be on there, I might do the same for that unless I can get it at a decent price. Depends how it reviews I guess. But I don't mind paying for games I really like as it is not often must play games that I am looking forward to come out for me.

That's all good if you enjoy the games on there and keep playing them. I find it is much cheaper to get 1 or 2 months per year and play anything I may fancy then :)

Unfortunately it seems this game could have links to the Russian government, Gazprom and other pro-Russian entities. There was also a clause on the developer Mundfish's website where they said in the small print that they could give your information to the Russian security services (which they hastily removed once discovered). I'm not entirely sure whether if it's tin foil hat but personally I will not support this game until it's proven otherwise:

Epic Games Store and Launcher has major links to the Chinese Government. It hasn't stopped over a billion people installing it on their PC's.

Hard to see how boycotting this game would hurt the Russian Govt.

Just cutting your nose off for the sake of it - but hey, at least we can signal our virtue to our fake friends on social media or something.

I gave up watching that video, i did try but there were too many arguments made without thought into the counter arguments dwarfing the point he was trying to make. Never did get to the part/point of supposedly handing over private information.

I probably wasn't going to buy it anyways, even though I am a fan of BioShock type games. If what was said in that video is true then I definitely wont.

I'm going to try to look into the claims made in the video further, I just wanted to bring it to people's attention.

That youtube video is idiotic and moronic all in one. It infutiated me so much because at the end he told people to report it as an illegal software or something on steam. Asmongolds take on it was perfect. This game started dev long before the war started. The guy even blocked comments and kept only a few good ones to make his video look better.

I'm not so sure, considering the content of his video I tend to agree with his reasoning for controlling the comments (he mentions his reasons why on the pinned comment). It would appear he's getting hammered by pro-Russian accounts which isn't exactly unbelievable given the case. His remark about reporting it as illegal software is obviously being fuelled by emotion which I guess is also understandable. I would like to try and confirm the links he mentioned to the Russian government though because it looks shady as hell. Lets face it though, either way Its highly likely considering the current state of pc gaming that the game will probably be average and run like ****.

Oh yes, and if we're using Asmongolds take as a measuring stick I don't know what to tell you.

Well if a random video on youtube is enough for you to not buy a video game then I feel for ya. Theres more than enough cancellation/attacking going on in the space at the moment. I will not speak more of it I was merely pointing out to random people that jump on bandwagons and go straight to steam and claim the game is a war crime or whatever nonsense that guy is spouting.
