Attacks On Guide Dogs

I wonder what percentage of the attacking dogs are owned by unemployed ****less ******* from council estates...

use bull mastiffs as guide dogs,

the owner can ride the dog home if required
if attacked it will simply eat the other dog...

Totally didn't see this coming :(

Genuine LOL. :D

As for the thread subject matter. Bizarre. Do other dogs spot a guide dog and think "Right you smart arse, your gettin' it....". Or is it the brain dead owners of other dogs that rile up their own dog to go and attack the guide dogs?.

"Go on son, go sic 'im.........look at the cocky git, thinks he's better than you with his wee smarmy yellow jacket on".

We seem to constantly get news reports about issues like this, along with dangerous dogs being used as weapons and for fighting, but still nothing is done about it. I hope something good comes out of these proposals.

There are way too many around where I live that have dangerous dogs they can barely control. I've seen everybody from people who are clearly drug dealers to benefit scrounging scum and kids with them. The Vetenarian at the Animal Hospital that used to be featured in Rolf's show just retired and he said the way dogs are being treated currently, the number of dangerous dogs and number of attacks is like nothing he has seen through out his entire career.

My crazy Springer sometimes attacks other dogs, hence why he is on a lead when he is walked. I would be completely gutted if he decided to go for a guide dog, having said that, I think he wouldn't as he only starts on another dog if it invades his personal space.

It's simply a case of people having dangerous dogs, or even just aggressive breeds that are poorly treated and not trained. They can't control their dog so it will attack when it sees another dog. Worse of all there are some scum who get a kick out of it.

man i hate staffie owners, well, most of them.

just estate chavs. its a shame as i think staffies are decent dogs if properly trained but its usually scum who own them. it makes us good dog owners look bad.

FYI we have a 4 year old mongrel recsue dog. she is most likely some form of terrier crossed with a border collie by the look of it.

It's sad that the world has come to this and rightly pointed out it's not the dog at fault, it's the owner failing to train them properly.

Previously mentioned, it's the scum of society that have turned the staffie into the 'icon of savage dogs'

My friend has a staffie, Charlie and he' a lovely dog and is practically afraid of his own shadow. You can play rough as you like with him, he'll grip you in his jaws whilst playing but the second you say "ow" or "ouch" (or any other variant) he'll let go and run off whimpering to his basket.

And they also want the Staffie to be put on the list of dangerous dogs list.

wow. i really would kill owner and dog if they did that to my son. kids can provoke dogs but then thats why you get a good breed that has been mellowed over many years for domesticity. my son occasionally kicks our dog, she doesnt bat an eye (he is obsessed with footy at 10 months and seems to think everything is a ball to be kicked)

why do so many people need dogs to make their manhood bigger? who needs a huskey as a pet (working dog, not pet!) or a staffie/bull terrier. they arent pets they are working dogs. or the idiots who have 2 german shepherds in a small terrace with no back garden?!?!

or the idiots who have 2 german shepherds in a small terrace with no back garden?!?!

A guy not far from my house has no less than 7 and his back 'garden' is about 10ft square, he never walks them either yet there have been numerous RSPCA visits to the house and nothing gets done.

I know some people really dont like Cesar Milan or his methods but his work with "Dangerous Dogs" is amazing. And it also highlights that more often than not its the owner that promotes that behaviour whether they know it or not.
