This made me laugh

went to an Audi dealership to look at TTs for the misses (bit more sensible then the M3 Coup that she wants) and as soon as the salesman saw me pull up in the M3 it starts

Him "Come to buy an RS4"
Me "Great car but no, more than happy with the M3"
Him "But the RS4 is much better"
Me "Dude your comparing a 5 year old car against a brand new one, wait till the new M3 is out and we will talk again"
Him "But thats 18 months away"
Me "And how long did it take audi to make and M3 "beater"?"
Him (ignores me last bit) "I would see your m3 on the track anyday"
Me "M3 is more fun being RWD for sideways action, lots of reviews still choose the m3 over the rs4 for that reason alone"
Him "Quatro is great"
Me "Lots of jernos have said that if you stopped pushing quatro and made a RWD version you would have the ultimate car"
Him "Quatro is great"
Me " Does it have manual yaw control"
Him "What"
Me " Vary the power between front and rear"
Him "Ahh it does that by computer!! (was very excited about that)"
Me "Thats not manual, in the Evo you can manual change the bias so as to enable some drifting action"
Him (looks blankly at me then turns to the misses) "So you want a TT then...."

Forgot to throw in about the up and coming mods to mine, that would have really thrown him :p

Almost as good as the BMW salesman who said the sport button on the m3 changed the vanos settings and gave more bhp  :p

Oh stop your bitching and let your woman have that M3 she wants :D

noooooooooooooo I'm all for it she would look so hot in an Estoril Blue z3m coupe

just she will be doing 20-30k a year so servicing tyres etc will be an issue, she is up for putting up with that cost.

She would kill herself though, she rags the nuts off her 04 mini cooper lol

Tell her she can have one if she drives more and goes through an advanced driver training :)

Your just scared she will have a better car then you ;)

she wants the later s54 engined one so it will be faster than mine (at stock) bitch :p

Umm, correct me if i'm wrong Steve, but Active Yaw Control (as found on Mitsi EVOs) alters the blade on the rear wing automatically and doesnt have a bearing on the drive train, hence the name 'YAW' from the aeroplane term for 'side to side' movement...

Still, M3 4tw, RS4 4tl! Easy really!

Always wondered why Audi kept pushing Quattro. Its about time they grew up and made a decent RWD car tbh!

Because Quattro is in there blood, in there heritage. Quattro brought them a lot of success in rallying.
Also not every one wants to be driving around sideways ;)

ah that does seem to be the control of power from left to right (Active Yaw Control), it must be the Active Center dif (ACD) then (did think Yaw was sided to side in planes)

Doesn't the Active Centre Diff adjust things automatically, hence the 'Active' bit? Manually doing it would be inactive?

I saw the delectable Nicky Henderson Butler finger her little button to get her rear sliding out, she loved it

Yaw control has nothing whatsoever to do with the rear wing, Steve was quite correct in saying that AYC is acheived through the center diff biasing more torque to front or rear. Yaw is rotation around the center of the car.
